Ok everyone. A little over two years ago my wife and I left Corporate America not by our own choosing, we had the daily 8am to 6pm and weekend office jobs but these times changed all that for us with business downturns, mergers, etc. I personally was aged out, I trained a 23 yro to be my assistant and after he knew my job I was gone. Ok with that said, my wife and I decided to make our own way and become Corporate America. We formed a residential cleaning service company called " Jeff And Kathy's Cleaning Service, Inc". Yes we got out there and humped butt cleaning homes by advertising and gaining one home client at a time. Fast forward to present day, we have grown leaps and bounds with residential clients and now are signing commercial clients for offices and fire station social halls, etc. We also are now working with contractors with post construction cleans for new buildings, homes, and businesses going up such as restaurants, churches, etc. We have 8 employees and looking to hire more in time. Our best and most experienced field tech who became our staff manager has now become our cooperate partner. With this new level in business growth we have made a company name change. We are now " MJK Total Cleaning Services, LLC" look for this current website to change reflecting the new company www.jeffandkathycleaning.com/

If I ever left my corporate job I'd like to be an open road trucker, and my own boss.

Most people have no idea what it takes to run a business good luck on controlling your future. Your hours can get a little funky cleaning offices after hours.

If I ever left my corporate job I'd like to be an open road trucker, and my own boss. My husband would love to do that!
If I were going to be self employed I'd open a Diner or a small bar!!

Congrats RC, I wish you guys continued success. I'm self employed as well. Seems to be the way to go these days Thank you very much. Agreed, we have come to accept this isn't our fathers work world anymore spending 35 years in one place. We're loving being a company, our success rests on us and has taken off very well. We're to the point that we do very little field work now. My wife is the accountant and does books, I do the sales and site visits to contractors for bid walk through's. We also have very high marks on Angies List.

This is also the business letter we are sending out to each of our clients and vendors explaining the changes.
**********************************************************************************************
Due to the growth of the company and the expansion of services, Jeff and Kathy’s Cleaning Service, Inc. is restructuring and we are also changing our name. Beginning April 1, 2014, Jeff and Kathy’s Cleaning Service, Inc. will be known as:
MJK Total Cleaning Services, LLC.
With this restructure and name change, we are pleased to announce the addition of Mindy Bard as a corporate partner. Mindy has been a large asset to our business as a field tech and as our field staff manager.
The services that you now enjoy will not change in any way. There will be no changes in your regular cleaning schedule or payment method, if you pay online via the Intuit Payment Network. Our phone numbers will remain the same, as well as your point of contact.
Our commitment to quality and customer service is still the most important aspect of our business. Again, than you for being loyal customers and we will always strive to keep improving on existing services.

It's always a challenge building business, that's a given. We're moving along and it's had ups and downs I won't lie, patience and goals make it all happen. We're in a very good growth mode now.
