It's winding down FAST...
I'll miss my son.... he heads back to school at the end of the month. 
I'll also miss my wonderful commute to work. The traffic has been awesome.... starting next week it will be a nightmare again!! |

What will you miss about summer?
Nothing for over a month since it doesn't end until September 22nd! This is this best part of summer, the kids are back in school,same with the teachers. Time to enjoy summer!

Love summer, my favorite time of year. Still quite a bit left, and early Fall is pretty damn sweet too. Gonna miss boating when it gets too cool though...

Love summer, my favorite time of year. Still quite a bit left, and early Fall is pretty damn sweet too. Gonna miss boating when it gets too cool though... I will miss boating too... we are going out Friday night. Bonfire on the beach!!
Yeah, Friday is tempting since the weekend weather looks bleak, and I also have a family get-together to attend. |

I won't miss anything. Nothing. Absofreakinglutely nothing. But MrTG will miss his easy commutes to work. In summer all the caffiened-up soccer moms and stinky school busses are off the road in the AM and PM so he breezes right up Ritchie Highway and has an equally easy ride home. And Route 50 traffic in summer is...let's just say I hate the beachbound backups that snarl the poor highway all day Friday and Saturday. I'm not a summer person and never have been.
Oh wait...one thing I will miss is wearing all my sandals, but I can still wear them long into autumn, so many that doesn't count. I hate shoes and socks.

One year I defied the switch from sandles so much that I wore my black Birkenstock sandles with socks until December until my husband said I was looking like a hippie. |

I doubt if I'll miss summer at all. Never did like it, except maybe when I was a kid. Fall is my favorite season.

I'm thinking next summer-- when we go back to 99 degrees with 120% humidity-- I will miss THIS summer, a lot! We have been truly blessed this year. It's nice when your only complaint is how to give away all those cucumbers. I'll miss the long hours of daylight, but I'll be able to enjoy my favorite winter sport: drinking wine while watching it snow outside the window. |

my garden...it's been absolutely great this summer. and...sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs and watching the many birds i had this summer. best year for a great variety of birds. most enjoyable. i will also miss spending lots of time with my neighbors this summer. i'm moving the end of september...the best neighbors ever.  |
