Thanks for true intelligence AP. It's refreshing. You could have blown him a kiss. He's saving them for you...

As I already posted to you, I read your first two links and there was no mention of that, period. I declined to go through further.
I'm beginning to think you're RC's wife... Believe me, she is much prettier than I am. You asking for links and I presented some (not all, of course...). You're the one who stated "I've yet to see one link/source to back that up" and then when presented a list of links, "I read your first two links and there was no mention of that, period. I declined to go through further." Reminds me of that old saying "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." And once again, I opened the first two of your links and they didn't back up the statement, period. Reminds me of an old saying "Why are you lying?"

You already said you looked in the first two links and didn't find anything. Why did you look again? It appears we have to lead you by the hand and tell you when you can open your eyes. It's in the 4th link on that list.

Everyone calm down. If I have to come back here, this thread will be locked. And I'll turn the car around and go home. Thanks.

Try actually reading my posts. Champy reported that all major networks are saying this July 4th is the most viable threat since 9/11. He also said Govt is outright saying this is the biggest concern since 911. I've yet to see one link/source to back that up.Try actually reading the links presented, davinci. In them you'll find (if you actually read them) "Two weeks ago House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes told CBS the United States faces its highest threat since after 9/11. Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee Michael McCaul has echoed that sentiment."I'm beginning to think you're just stalking RC... Beginning to think? It's obvious to me!!

Anyhoooo.....
With the warnings given and the credible threats beings reported.... what do they expect us to do? They give us the warning and no recommendations. I wonder if there are specific targets? I have sharks to worry about and this in the back of my mind. I can't imagine that OBX is a target so I feel somewhat safe but what about everyone else? I can tell you I would not be celebrating the 4th someplace like DC or NY.

There's nothing individuals can do. Whatever threats exist, those in power choose not to share what they know. They have some good reasons for that, but it means the responsibility is all theirs.

I believe the main concern is with regard to the amount of "chatter" from overseas and it's reach on social media... that threat will continue to grow from year to year... neither is going away...
Personally, I don't intend to alter any of my plans... and will continue, as always, to be vigilant...

Be willing to allow the government to sift through all your communications, give them back doors into all encryption products and if you see something, report it promptly even if they are your family, friends, or neighbors.

"Those that would give up liberty for security deserve neither." Not only they dont deserve it they wont get it. They will lose out to the violent enemies of the government AND the government itself, as both become more violent and restrictive to each other and the citizens caught in the middle. A double whammy to liberty and security.

But tell that to the signers of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, many of whom paid the supreme price. As we are about to celebrate the anniversary of that fateful day in 1776, it bears repeating the last paragraph of that remarkable document:

There will probably be another terror attack.
What worries me is that the government will use it as an excuse to revoke even more freedoms. They basically revoked the Fourth Amendment when they enacted the Patriot Act. Which Amendment will they go after next?

They basically revoked the Fourth Amendment when they enacted the Patriot Act. Which Amendment will they go after next? Well, the Democrats have been working very hard on the 1st and 2nd for years. The 3rd is an anachronism. You've covered the 4th. The 5th is in questionable health. The 6th is regularly ignored. The 7th is so narrow as to not really be worth going after. The 8th has been twisted into a parody. The 9th, 10th and 11th were destroyed decades ago. The Democrats are also working on the 12th. The 13th and 14th are being warped by all sorts of grievance mongers. The Democrats are trying to extend the right to vote in the 15th, 19th, 23rd and 26th amendments to include foreigners. The 16th grants the FedGov the right to levy income taxes; if it were repealed, there would be a celebration. The 17th - direct election of Senators was probably a bad idea. The 18th was repealed by the 21st. The 20th, 25th and 27th are basically meaningless in terms of rights. Give Obama time on the 22nd. The 24th forbids a poll tax, Democrats want us to believe that presenting ID is the same thing. So I guess the answer to your question is "all of them."

And modern technology makes government far more intrusive wither the dangers are more or less than when he said it. When he did the government could only listen at your window or open your mail, now everything you do can be watched or listened to remotely.
