Yesterday, I heard on the radio a song played by a 13 year old Dutch girl based on the familiar Taps. This song, composted by two Italians: Nini Rosso and Guglielmo Brezza, is traditionally played at a cemetery in Holland commemorating those who had died in the liberation of Holland. Scroll down to "USES" at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Il_Silenzio_%28song%29 to read the story. Freedom is not free. Here is a video of that 13 year old playing the song:

Friends over and cooking out on the pool deck... spotty rain showers may hinder but won't stop unless we get a downpour... then we'll move to "the shed"on the hill...
Flying my brother's U.S. flag...

Eating too much and now for the big news. Daughter's boyfriend asked hubby for his approval to marry our daughter. We are both happy with our future son-in-law.

We had some American friends staying with us so we hugged and wished each other a Happy 4th. You can not even purchase a sparkler over here, so that was a bit of a downer.

Have you checked with the IRA? The IRA is too busy leaving pipe bombs in schoolyards, on steps of certain Georgian mansions in St. Stephan's Green, along roadways, and in non-combatant farmers fields (none of which is ever reported in US papers/news). So n-o-o-o-o-o, a thug is a thug, whether they are burning/looting or bombing, no matter which country they reside in.
