SHOCK POLL: 57% REPUBLICANS BELIEVE TRUMP WILL BE NOMINEE... www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2016/trump_change Our latest national telephone survey finds that 57% of Likely Republican Voters now think Trump is likely to be the Republican presidential nominee next year, with 25% who say it’s Very Likely. That compares to 27% who felt a Trump nomination was likely two months ago when he formally announced his presidential bid, a finding that included just nine percent (9%) who said it was Very Likely. At that time, Trump ran near the bottom among the 12 declared GOP candidates. Now he leads the pack of Republican hopefuls which has grown to include 17 prominent contenders. Among all likely voters, 49% think Trump is likely to be the Republican nominee, including 17% who say it’s Very Likely. That compares to 23% and seven percent (7%) respectively in the earlier survey. Forty-eight percent (48%) now say Trump is not likely to win the nomination, with 21% who feel it is Not At All Likely. Forty-two percent (42%) of Republican voters say Trump is unlikely to be their party’s standard-bearer next year, but that includes just 15% who say it’s Not At All Likely. That’s down from 29%

Rubio 85% Santorum 84 Cruz 81 Bush 80, Well its still early as to which one I MIGHT vote for I was hoping Carson and Florina would be higher. Clinton 43 (says we agree on economic issues REALLY? Sanders 36 (no major issues) expected especially not economic ones) and ta da Drum roll please O'Malley 27%, (Im surprised that its this high)Some of my social beliefs probably did that. I wonder if this was loaded toward Rubio? Noticed that I only agree with 32% of Marylanders, Well its to be expected Im a little c fiscal conservative in a state inundated by capital L liberals and those that they have bought their votes with tax money.

It would seem that the buzz question for Rubio would be in regard to normalization of relations with Cuba. The other would be pro-choice or pro-life. I'm in favor of relations with Cuba and pro-choice and Rubio was way down on my list.

I don't have a choice right now. The election is a long way off. Anything could happen. Your elections seem to go on for ever and ever, and even when you do decide on a new president, it still takes weeks to inaugurate him/her. Here, the hustings for our election last for only one month, and the day after the election the new administration takes office. I'm not suggesting for one moment that the US follows our practice but I do feel that yours should be more focused, condensed and concise. It would also be interesting to see how the outcome of your elections would be affected if you had a similar spending cap of @ $33 million per party, and a ban on radio and TV advertising. You and I agree on this, too long and too expensive. But Im also sure we are doomed to continue this major failure that has developed in our system.

I matched with Rubio. I don't really like that match up. I thought the same thing. I'm not in the Rubio fan club. I was surprised I got him because we do not see eye to eye on a few issues.

That you guys don't line up with the candidate you don't particularly like indicates how much you know and understand politics... if you did, you would likely line up with the candidate you really like and would likely support even now...

Hardly, we answered questions for what we believe in, has nothing to do for what you're claiming Then why didn't you line up with the guy you think you like?... that was the purpose of this "quiz"... matching the candidates to the positions on the questions...

The only question is how accurately the survey maps responses to candidate positions. And that's unanswerable without a look at the plumbing. But if it maps you to a candidate you can certainly visit the candidate's public presentations, and should, to see if he really is a better fit than the guy you "like". The survey asks a lot of questions about a lot of things. People often answer like/dislike questions on the basis of just a few public positions. You also have to consider whether the candidate is telling the truth about their positions. I like a lot of Rand Paul's fiscal ideas, but I don't like the fact that his stance and a windsock have much in common. That tells me that what he says may not be what he eventually stands for. Finally, you need to consider character. My biggest complaint about Mr. Obama, at this time, is that he sold people a bill of goods. He pretended he was a liberal and when he got to Washington he turned out to be not too different from his predecessor in a lot of ways.

My question with regard to the "quiz" was the left side... where you had to pick "Least", "Less", "Somewhat", "More", or "Most"... and how that portion figured in... I marked nothing less than "More"...

All the quiz shows is what you believe in, no accuracy in choices And it supposedly is supposed to link your beliefs with those of a particular candidate... even down to the candidate's position of importance of each issue listed... And I think it likely does since many of you link to Rubio... and I link to Clinton (first)... Sanders (second)... and O'Malley (third)... can't be that much of a coincidence... since I know my beliefs line up closer to Clinton and Sanders than anyone else...

A lot of the candidates are trying to tap into the populist mainstream by suggesting they will raise taxes on the rich. Even Jeb said this. Zero chance of it actually happening, however. Those are the folks who pay the candidate's bills. No candidate - including Hillary - dares disappoint them.
