SHOCK POLL: 57% REPUBLICANS BELIEVE TRUMP WILL BE NOMINEE... www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2016/trump_change Our latest national telephone survey finds that 57% of Likely Republican Voters now think Trump is likely to be the Republican presidential nominee next year, with 25% who say it’s Very Likely. That compares to 27% who felt a Trump nomination was likely two months ago when he formally announced his presidential bid, a finding that included just nine percent (9%) who said it was Very Likely. At that time, Trump ran near the bottom among the 12 declared GOP candidates. Now he leads the pack of Republican hopefuls which has grown to include 17 prominent contenders. Among all likely voters, 49% think Trump is likely to be the Republican nominee, including 17% who say it’s Very Likely. That compares to 23% and seven percent (7%) respectively in the earlier survey. Forty-eight percent (48%) now say Trump is not likely to win the nomination, with 21% who feel it is Not At All Likely. Forty-two percent (42%) of Republican voters say Trump is unlikely to be their party’s standard-bearer next year, but that includes just 15% who say it’s Not At All Likely. That’s down from 29%

The sad thing is, he might well be the nominee.
We're a nation of, what... 325 million? And all we get are clowns, criminals and simpletons. No wonder no other nation respects us any longer.

Well, he's doing a little bit better than me. Of, for that matter, the current gaggle running the government. Trump has never been $18 trillion in the hole. A financial genius would be great. But I'd settle for mere competence.

A ballot that has any of the 3 possible Democrats on it against Trump is only worth using as toilet paper.
Even then it will give you a case of the red a**

You can be a good liberal, vote early and often for those that want to buy your vote with other peoples money.

Billionaire businessman Donald Trump spoke to thousands of his supporters in a half-filled 40,000-seat Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama Friday night. After walking down a stage surrounded by waving American flags and signs reading "Make America Great Again!," Trump announced, "I would like to have the election tomorrow...I don't want to wait." Trump's speech was similar to the one he made in New Hampshire. The Republican frontrunner attacked Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush on illegal immigration and how he is now using the controversial term "anchor babies" -- a reference to children being born in the US from illegal immigrants. www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/08/22/donald-trump-addresses-largest-crowd-presidential-campaign-yet-while-in-alabama/?intcmp=hpbt2

National ReviewIf I need to vote for him to keep Hillary from telling the Russians who all our agents are, so be it. But I'd prefer Lindsey Graham to Trump at this point. I only want him in the race long enough for one of the other candidates to realize he or she needs to stop being a panty-waste and show they can f-ing lead.

As nearly as I can determine, he's an empty suit who is hiding an amazement that he's gotten this far behind sound bites meant to outrage people who wouldn't vote for him if they were on fire and he had the only extinguisher.

And he tells the brutal truth, that is enough for me for now Yeah... about the brutal truth. You know he wants to bring back the assault weapons ban and institute a longer wait time for gun purchases, right? Business InsiderThe man is a bold - something the GOP SORELY needs - but he's a RINO. Support for the assault weapons ban, and his use of eminent domain make him WAY too liberal for me. I can't vote for him unless it's to keep the Democrats out of the White House. And unless the second amendment means less to you than it seems to, you shouldn't get anywhere near him either.

I think what's being misunderstood about Trump is that his appeal isn't derived from where he stands on various issues or whether or not he'd even make an effective President. That's not the point. What people like about him is that he does not back down and he does not apologize.
In this politically-correct and hyper-sensitive age, that's golden. While every other candidate seemingly needs to employ both a speechwriter and an apologist (remember Martin O'Malley quickly making amends for his "All lives matter" remark?), Trump doesn't give a rat's patoot whose toes he steps on. He flies in the face of the conventional wisdom which states that if you hurt someone's feelings or are perceived as insulting by someone (anyone) else, then you must be at fault and an apology is in order. Trump doesn't. And while people may not agree with everything Trump says, they seem to be giving him credit for having the cajones to say it. Don't underestimate the appeal of such an approach.
I'm sure Trump isn't as spontaneous with his bombast as he'd like us to believe. But he also knows the more outrageous, the better. In an age where people are being told to be intolerant of any opinion other than the inoffensive ones it's OK to have, Trump answers back with his middle finger.
