Be careful with the Weather Channel. It is run by hysterics.

I'm thinking, "What's wrong with the RRM (Roof Repair Model)? It is raining even though I got my roof replaced." Then I noticed a small water stain on the ceiling this morning. Expect heavy rains, high winds, and Jim Cantore.

Time to hurricane shop..... 1. Wine 2. Beer Pro Tip: Do NOT, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, move the bonfire indoors. This has been a public service message from the NFPA.

We don't need that coming up the Bay, for sure. Intellicast shows a track anticipating landfall somewhere on the eastern portion of Long Island.

Larry Hogan has issued a state of emergency, but that's more of a just-in-case gesture because most computer models now seem to agree that the storm isn't a threat to Maryland. It has strengthened to a Category 4, however, and is currently pounding the Bahamas. If it does stay on its expected track, Bermuda will be right in its path.

Looks like what's left of it will be going up the English Channel towards the end of the week, just what we need, some more rain.

Panic over, Joaquin has slipped south of us and will be hitting Iberia, it looks like the rain will be mainly on the plain, in Spain, just as the song says.
