Yeah... I'm one of them... not working... could be working... not looking for work... worked over 50 years so I could retire... and sit on my ass for a while before I die... I know many folks across the country doing the same damn thing... we worked for it... we deserve it... don't knock it... don't be jealous... work hard and you can do it too.. and you'll like it too...
Just another generation of workers retiring... 1977 - 2015

However, you are not counted in the 'out of the workforce' numbers, because you retired.

All those people NOT in the workforce cause other people to have hours cut, be laid off, or fired.
Which does not included those that are "retireded"
and claiming so, is a partisan smoke screen to try to cover up the still weak recovery we are in for over 7 years now.

I'd say you did your time!! Enjoy your retirement and chill a little. I don't think this was directed at retirees.

Afraid so... coming from Drudge/Breitbart... but that's expected...
"The number of individuals out of the work force last month — due to discouragement, retirement or otherwise."

Some people say the hell with it and do retire early when they might have kept working. I know a couple of small business owners that did just that.

You might want to read the article again... it says "retired" workers... and I started working in 1961, young man... It really doesn't matter if they count retirees or not. It's still a record number of people out of the labor force and is an indictment on the incompetence of Obama. He has no interest in fixing the economy, only in enacting policies that make it worse. Of course, your lame attempt at deflection is expected.

(including FICA)... spending all that $$$ in the economy... and making a job... by being absent... for someone else who wants it... and enjoying the hell out of it... No deflection... bold exclamation... And like I said, the article pointed out that retirees were a part of the reason for the numbers... and you guys are trying... I emphasize, trying... to make these numbers bad in some way... they're not... 5.1% unemployment... even with all there retirees, how long has it been since we had that?...

What really matters is the number of people that are working. That will give you a better idea of what is really going om.

When they dont count the numbers of people that have given up looking for employment for a time,
then the numbers are politically skewed in favor of of whatever administration is in power.
(politically skewed in favor of EQUALS lying)

(politically skewed in favor of EQUALS lying) The unemployment numbers are arrived at in the same manner they have been for many years... those who have "given up looking for work" don't effect the poll...
