Snow may slow travel in northeastern US next week At this time, a repeat of the late-January blizzard with 2-3 feet of snow over a large area appears highly unlikely. It is also unlikely for snow to fall continuously for during the three-day period from Monday to Wednesday. More often than not, there will not be accumulating snow during the period. Right now it appears as if the coastal storm is going to stay far enough out over the Atlantic so as not to be a threat to the Baltimore area. Ocean City, as well as Harford and Cecil counties, however, are likely to get brushed as the storm moves up the coast. A trailing clipper system out in the Midwest, however, will likely come through Tuesday and a couple of inches of snow is possible.

SHA crews pre-treating roads, warning motorists to prepare for storm MEMA: Tuesday's commute could be slippery, slow and dangerous REISTERSTOWN, Md. (WBFF) -- With six or more inches of snow forecast to fall in Maryland over the next two days, the Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) warned residents that Tuesday morning's commute could be slippery, slow, and dangerous. "Though there is some uncertainty in the current forecast, it is important that Marylanders be aware of the incoming winter storm, follow local weather forecast offices and news, and communicate with their friends and families before, during, and after winter storms," MEMA Executive Director Russell Strickland said. A Winter Storm Warning will go into effect at 10 p.m. on Monday, with 6-9 inches of snow forecast to fall in parts of Maryland. foxbaltimore.com/news/local/mema-tuesdays-commute-could-be-slippery-slow-and-dangerous

It's a bust in Pasadena. We've had some spurts of heavy snow showers, a mix of rain, very little has stuck on the grass but none on the roads.

We got a little bit early in the week (Northern Carroll), and a little bit more overnight. The sun is beating down on it and melting it right now. But the temperatures are still very much colder than I prefer.
Winter's gone on long enough. Let's have some spring weather!

Snow will begin Monday west and south of Washington in the morning. It will grow widespread afternoon and evening. This arctic air mass is so dry, the first few hours it shows on radar may remain dry at the surface (virga) More snow could accumulate west and south of the cities due to arrival time. The Chesapeake Bay has more ice on it now, so less warming north of the Bay Bridge. That might delay warming Track appears to be a hybrid between Canadian and GFS models I’ve been showing. Worst snow conditions: Monday afternoon/evening. Change to Ice: Monday evening from south to north. Ice lingers into Tuesday morning near Baltimore and west/northern suburbs. Frozen ground will hold ice longer even as air wars above freezing. Tuesday: Likely to turn to rain in most metro areas. Ice remains inland by mountains. Total accumulation will vary, but many in the 2″ to 4″ range. news.justinweather.com/2016/02/14/winter-storm-warning-and-advisory-snow-and-ice-maps/

There's enough salt around my way to melt Greenland, so I'm not worried about ice coming later on.
The early snow was light and fluffy enough to remove with my leaf blower; now it appears to be changing over to a heavier mix.

Nothing predicted over an Intellicast except a little snow possible tomorrow. High temperatures remain above freezing. Most of the snow around me is gone or going fast, and that's just how I like it!
