Democrats were so smug in their belief that only Republicans would pay the price for the shutdown. Oopsie. Actually you guys will pay the price when you spend all your time doing nothing but criticizing liberals and election time comes around you've got nothing you'll lose again and be reduced to nothing but chattering on a chat room Whatever you say, jed.

Media memory is so short-lived; shut down has now moved on to Obamacare fiasco. Since it was averted, all that doom and gloom has gone be wayside- to be replaced with this mess. Come election time-- who know what will be on the agenda of the media?? Who needs Ritalin more-- the media, the public, or both??

I guess you've discovered by now that K. Sibelius has fallen on her sword for the President... Some of the Democrat politicians who are up for election are now calling for a delay of the individual mandate. Medicaid enrollment is another issue, and has noting to do with the ACA. You've asked for solutions. I have one: repeal the ACA. IMHO the ACA (and all its regulations and changes since it became law) was originally designed to help bring about a single-payer system (i.e., socialized medicine). The ACA supporters have cleverly crafted the law to make sure the insurance companies will drop insureds because their products don't meet the changing requirements of the law (and druthers of the President). Just look at the long list of waivers granted so far. And don't forget the fact that those "grandfathered" to keep their current plans have been cleverly "ungrandfathered" (except, of course, for the unions) because of the "law" that insurers modify their plans to meet ACA requirements. That is, insureds can keep their plans--except they can't if those plans don't conform to the ACA requirements, choke, choke... It is absolutely asinine that the ACA requires a single man to pay to be covered for pregnancy. IMHO we certainly have a bunch of lying, conniving politicians and lackeys in D.C. Here we were all told that the ACA was developed to respond to 30 million people that didn't have health insurance for whatever reason. That seems to be an afterthought now. I have had private insurance for a decade now and it is a good policy that fits my budget and protects my family. Now, as it turns out, that policy is not good enough for those who think they know what it better for me and my family. Got the letter and got hike in my premiums along with a message that next year I will be forced to another policy designed for me at a much higher cost. Repeal this stuff...there is the solution! It is designed, as many have suggested, to give the government more power over our lives.

So what? I don't have a support group of chattering magpies like you and your little gang do. Tag team and ganging up on folks. Do you guys have meetings and secret handshakes?

Let's get the thread back on topic. For those who need a reminder, the topic wasn't any of the people posting here.
