What a bust this year. I have lots of candy and about 3 knocks at the door. The mooching teenagers will take care of the leftovers in short order.

We got a good amount- but my wife went nuts at Sams, and we have enough leftover candy to kill whole neighborhoods with diabetes.....

I got Gummy Body Parts. It was hearts, brains, ears kidneys, and Eye Balls. The 12-13 yr old kids loved them. The little kids got 3 Musketeers or Twizzlers

You had the good candy! Our neighborhood has changed. I can remember when hubby had to go out and buy more candy. I miss those days.

We had lots; at the end there were only about five tootsie rolls left. And that's with the rain!

Watched Everybody Loves Raymond last night, LMAO!! Frank the dad accidentally gives out Rays condoms to kids at the door thinking they were the round chocolate coins you get in colored wrappers.
I was ROTFLMAO

Five children in 2 groups, that was it! Usually we have about 50-60 children. Of course, the grandkids are rubbing their hands together in anticipation and their Pop-Pop is lurking in the corner over the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups section of the loot!

When I was a child, my brother and I would trick-or-treat together. When we came home, our father would inspect our candy to make sure everything was wrapped and safe. Then my brother and I would empty all our candy out of our plastic pumpkins and scatter it about in front of us and trade pieces with each other. Some pieces were "worth more" than others, like it took several mini tootsie rolls to "buy" a Milky Way bar. Fond memories indeed!

We had fewer up here; I started giving out double the candy. I don't want the evil stuff around! I'd guess that's because about halfway through the "designated time" it started to rain. Rained a lot harder, later. Parents obviously don't want their kids out in that. Kids don't care, probably, if there's candy at the end of that soggy rainbow.

north york borough is pretty small but they get van full of kids from york city. so this year they gave out wristbands for the local kids and to keep teen punks from taking all the candy. i talked to a waitress today she said she went through 10 lbs of candy and had 3 pieces left.

We went thru 3 bags fairly quickly. My dad lives 4 blocks away; he buys cases of full size candy bars from Costco every year; he went thru 288 candy bars by 8PM.

Some high schoolers asked for candy; I told them it was for the kids and to beat feet, hate that crap!
