If they come out and start with run-run-pass and out, it's going to be a long game. What if in the next series they go pass-pass-pass?

If they come out and start with run-run-pass and out, it's going to be a long game. What if in the next series they go pass-pass-pass? Rarely happens, they generally always open with a pass, then run, then pass, especially if the first down pass play is unsuccesfull. So far they have been very predictable, thus, the sputtering offense.

Well, everyone wanted to crown the Bengals, but they stunk it up down in Miami tonight, plus they lost their best pass rusher for the season. If the Ravens win their next two games, they'll be right back in the mix for the AFCN title.

I don't think I can ever recall a game ending on a safety.

I wonder if they reminded Dalton in the locker room you're suppose to throw the ball away BEFORE you get sacked. Now lets see if we can come back strong.

Gotta beat Cleveland, totally a must win game. Then so is next week at home, against a depleted Bengals team. If that happens, we are right there, with a fairly favorable schedule(tougher games at home, easier ones on the road). I suspect the final game @ Cincy will determine the division winnner...that is....IF we beat Cleveland this weekend. All starts there.

As I noted in another thread, it's time for the Ravens to play a full game. If you look at the team objectively, their next impressive game/win will be their first one. At the time, we thougth that the Houston game would qualify as such, but the Texans are what we didn't think they were. The optimistic outlook is as uneven as the Ravens have played this year, they remain in the middle of things. Well coached, good teams improve during the season. That time is now.

Cleveland has an excellant defense and though Jason Campell is not a franchise quarterback, he is mobile and can get hot. Their receivers are not consistant, but like Campell, they too can "get hot" with their hands. Ravens should blow them out, but so too should have the Bengals last night vs the Phins.....

He missed some time early this year and the Ravens actually ran the ball better in that game

The physical struggles for Osemele (back) and Yanda (shoulder surgery recovery) have really hurt the Ravens this season. Going into the year, we were hopeful that Gino's NFL introduction would be helped by surrounding him with a pair of Pro Bowl caliber guards. Instead, Gino has been underwhelming to put it very mildy, and KO and Yanda are shadows of themselve. It all adds up to a pretty lousy offensive line.

The bustasaurus is sniffing around Gino. Dunno, could be a case of bad coaching, let us see how the season plays out now that some adjustments to coaching have taken place. He has good feet, quick hands and is stronger than Berk was, so the P word is there...... I'll take Cleveland in this one just to make sure the Ravens win....

Oh, I'm not saying he's a bust, yet. It's hard to do that credibly in a guy's first season. And there's certainly some evidence that Castillo isn't the right coach for this team. The rest of the season should give us a pretty good picture of both their futures.
