The left sent them over there, and then the left reviled them when they returned? That appears to be the position the right is advancing here. It seems inconsistent. Maybe y'all should get together and coordinate your talking points! The (old) left sent them over there, and then the (young) left reviled them when they returned. two parts of the same group, maybe y'all should read history instead of dispensing talking points

What was LBJ known for besides escalating Great Society.... keep em on the plantation, have those niggers voting D for the next 200 years right? Yet when the war ended companies were NOT allowed to hire white men because of race and sex, not education or qualifications. Peers same age group alienated, Baby Killers remember? There was no sense of pride in country or what the military was trying to do. Nixon did bring us back with his peace with honor plan.... it wasn't until we left (save a hand full down south) that SVN was overran.

Containment was the abiding policy post WWII until Bunkerboy Bush. It wasn't "left" or "right." Buy a book.

No, it was Americans. I'm sure that I read that the war was fought between the USA and Vietnam, not the Democrats and Vietnam. Welcome to Serfland. Democrats created that war. Democrats refused to allow it to be fought to win. Democrats created the draft, and used it to people their war with the poor and the politically unconnected. It was the serfs that gave us Viet Nam. Them and their masters. We, as a country, should have learned back then to never let a Democrat anywhere near a position of power.

Maybe y'all should get together and coordinate your talking points! Not at all. The political leadership that was installed by the Left started the war, drafted the troops, then screwed up the war so badly that a pissant little country with nothing to fight with won the war. When the troops returned, the Leftists that managed to avoid the draft treated the troops as the enemy, largely out of guilt over their own cowardice.

In a sense, one could say that containment was successful. Yes, we may have lost the wars (in a sense), but we won the battles, and a few years later the USSR collapsed, and now the Communist Chinese are leaning more to capitalism than communism. I think that this leaves North Korea and Cuba in need of change. Just a thought.

And, in a few years, the United States. The socialists, still convinced the only reason their system has failed every time is has been attempted is that until now no one has done it *right*, are trying over here.

Nikita Khrushchev once said that the Soviet Union wasn't worried about the United States, in that the people of the US would elect socialists that would meet and embrace the Communist philosophy. Gee, look at what 45 years hath wrought!

The clueless nature of the regime's hacks continues to reveal itself in the most myriad of ways. For those of you in the ObaArmedForces, now, this should be the final nail in the coffin of any pablum of serving the country. Ye are merely expendable props for the politicians and their selected sycophants.

Snowden's act embarrassed the administration. There has been considerable effort expended towards (a) correcting the problems, or (b) threatening whistle blowers with dire consequences to seal their lips.
Choose (a) or (b).

So far, my observations require an answer of (b). No, no, no! The correct answer is (a)! Answer (b) again and the IRS will have to examine your tax situation, the FBI will have to examine your personal life in great detail, including asking leading questions of your neighbors that imply you're a child molester, the BATEF will search your house, destroying it as they seize any weapons, the EPA will designate your property a wetland...

They could always check the dirt road for drugs. Then again, some people like that sort of thing.
