I think that distinction belongs to Art Modell. Bisciotti pumped a lot of money into the club buying that first half, he's a big part of why Modell could move here. Modell was all but bankrupt, and when Cleveland chose not to help him out, he went looking for suitors and found one in Bis. Actually the whole Browns to Baltimore deal was put together by Al Lerner.

Ravens moved to Baltimore in 1996. Bisciotti bought into the club in 2000-2001.

Things are getting ugly at ESPN: First, Bill Simmons has been suspended three weeks for an on-air tirade against Goodell and the Ravens. Word is that he is probably not coming back. Next, Deadspin(and generally I am not a fan of them) has begun question ESPN's integrity regarding the OTL article published on Friday. First, they point out the AQ Shipley blunder that was edited out - www.nytimes.com/2014/09/25/sports/football/espn-suspends-bill-simmons-for-tirade-on-roger-goodell-.htmlNext, the discuss the cell phone text that ESPN backpedaled on, after accusing Biscotti of offering Rice "hush money" - deadspin.com/espn-made-a-very-weird-mistake-in-its-big-ray-rice-stor-1638541045Lastly, they talk about Bob Ley's HUGE mistake on a friday segment that was later retracted - deadspin.com/espn-casino-employee-gave-ray-rice-tape-to-nfl-securit-1637084054Despite this, ESPN's Ombudsman declared this ESPN's "finest hour" of reporting, even praising Simmons(!) - espn.go.com/blog/ombudsman/post/_/id/453/espn-flexes-journalistic-muscle-on-riceESPN is taking on serious water here, and is finding themselves in the unfamiliar position of being put on the defensive. Simmons is all but fired, and I would not be surprised if someone else takes the fall for the article, which appears now to be a dramatic fabrication of sorts. This seems kind of reminiscent of the Dan Rather saga. The Simmons suspension is major, as he is considered one of the "higher ups" of the organization. I think that Van Natta, and Van Valkenburg are probably in jeopardy as well as this backlash gains traction. IMO, the entire OTL staff, from Bob Ley on down probably needs to be gutted for ESPN to regain any type of credibility.
