To say that Attila (you can't even spell his name right) was a socialist, has to be one of the most imbecillic statements that anyone has made on these boards and clearly displays that you know absolutely nothing about the history of the man. You are the one spluttering, you are spluttering absolute idiotic rubbish. So, enlighten us. How is he not Socialist? He demanded that everyone obey him, completely, on pain of death. Just like today's Socialists. He allowed no independent thought, just like today's Socialists. The only real difference is that he was willing to use a military to destroy societies he didn't like, while today's Socialists simply use the tools of that particular society to destroy it. What a load of old claptrap! No dude, you made the ridiculous assertion that Attila the Hun was a socialist, come up with some 'evidence' of that fact, what social programs did he put in place, pensions, social security, free health care, social housing... or maybe he was a union shop steward? Over to you dude, it's your ridiculous position, you support it.

Because he has made and is continuing to push the ridiculous assertion, and then he has the audacity to want me to disprove the imbecillic statement. Still, I believe in being fair, I will allow, neigh I will be be absolutely delighted to hear your offering in support of his assertion that Attila the Hun was a socialist. I'm all ears.

Things rarely are ever an issue with kids... we learn from our peers and parents and grow into our predjucies. Really? I never went to school with any blacks until high school. When we had black kids come into our school, I never heard of any problems either with other kids or teachers. None of the parents I knew had any problems with it They were just another kid in school. And that was as deep South as you're likely to get. You are not truthful person; unless, you are talking about south of the border.

It sounds like a difficult task! Most of us accept the French definition as being a social and economic system where government controls the means of production. I believe the origin is based upon the Latin word socius[/b] giving it an emphasis upon 'social' control rather than individual.

That's what welfare, "socialized medicine", and all the rest are all about. Slavery. He was just more up front about it. He was a sexist, just like today's Socialists, racist, just like today's Socialists, and a tyrant, just like today's Socialists.

I'm sorry redleg, that is an idiotic reply... you obviously have a different meaning to socialism as everyone else and all the dictionaries. I find it pointless to continue this discussion when you hold such a stupid opinion of a noted person in history simply because of your extreme politics of today. You really need to get a grip , you are just making a complete arse of yourself with this argument.

Sorry red, you are using the word as a pejorative. Centuries of intellect go into the canon of language - why destroy something that serves us so well?

I'm using the prototype social system, whereby a single tyrant decides everything for everyone in the society. And those that followed Attila did get fed, clothed, and housed, as long as they obeyed, without question, everything he said. Just like today's Socialists.

I will not waste any more time with you on this one, I'll just let you continue to make an utter fool of yourself. Bye.

Back to the original point of the thread, though, how could The Puppet be anything but racist, given his alleged upbringing? Frank Marshal, Alynski, and Marx are not the mentors to have if one wishes a child to grow up intelligent and non racist. Which is why we now have the issues we have because of The Puppet's racism and Marxism.

No, in other words, I will not respond further to you because my patience with you and your imbecillic assertion is exhausted and if I were to respond to you any further and as I would prefer to, I would receive warning points or a banning. I will say this though, if warning points were given for utter stupidity... well you get my drift.

Why should he do that when you will only ridicule him for cutting & pasting the proof? Because he has made and is continuing to push the ridiculous assertion, and then he has the audacity to want me to disprove the imbecillic statement. Still, I believe in being fair, I will allow, neigh I will be be absolutely delighted to hear your offering in support of his assertion that Attila the Hun was a socialist. I'm all ears. Well vosa old chap, are you going to come to your buddies aid and support his position on Attila being a socialist?

In my experience, the best tactic in a philosophical discussion is to let your opposition speak - loud and long.
