Gotta love it when people of minor importance make themselves news. *sigh*
Didn't watch the Roseanne reboot, but from the ads, it was mostly making fun of Roseanne's character. Never saw Samantha, either, but from the ads it was obvious what she considered humor. I dislike censorship, on principle-- besides, the TV market has a way of sorting these thing out. It's called ratings.
Roseanne's comment was egregious because comparing accomplished black people to apes suggests they are lower on the evolutionary scale than humans. (NB: not "white people", but humans.) There was a time when this canard was dogma in the "consensus science" community. (Of course, I live with cats, so the idea that humans-- or apes, for that matter-- are high on the evolutionary scale won't fly in my household.) My suggestion for black Americans: when someone calls you an ape, act like a cat. Shrug and walk away. (Yeah, we humans don't have a tail to wave good-bye with, but a roll-eyes heavenwards and a deep sigh will get the message across. Learn to recite the cliche: "I am not going to dignify that with a response." Hey! Cliches are cliches because everyone gets them; that's useful.)
As for Samantha, she used a word that obliges her to turn in her "woman card". There are vulgar terms for women that are acceptable, in context-- "broad" and "bitch" come immediately to mind. The "c-word" is not one of them. (Really, shouldn't some words remain beyond the pale? What do people do to blow steam when they're angry, if there are no cuss words, anymore? Pick up a gun? Let us recall that back when one could go a lifetime-- even watching the Oscars-- with no more contact with the F-word than seeing it scrawled in graffiti on a wall, one never saw the C-word, even there! THINK about that... or grok on it, if you're as old as I am.)
Samantha's excuse is she was excoriating Ivanka Trump for US immigration policy. This is not a new policy. Someone on the Left ought to tell her she just called Michelle Obama (and both her daughters!) the same, nasty thing, by proxy. If Ivanka is one, then so is Michelle. Something Samantha might want to think about, next time she writes herself a "cool, edgy" monologue.

That's something I've never understood. All these brainless robots are going after Trump for following immigration law, when they didn't bother to do anything about it when they held not just Congress, but the Presidency. Instead, they had the alleged President use Executive Orders, which are easily overturned by the next President, to avoid and ignore the law. All those pics of "those poor immigrant kids" being held in detention were taken during the reign of The Puppet.

No, I wouldn't have said it... thought it maybe... but not said it... unlike you who probably liked it (Roseanne)... because she's like you... There is a distinct distinction... were that not true... there would be no Saturday Night Live... or any other entertainment comedy show... And you know it's true... you just won't admit it... Again, Bee's show is a hate show, not a comedy show. How much would you be complaining if Trump responded by stating that "Bee's problem is no one is grabbing her feckless cu*t"? And no, Roseanne is a leftist. I'm not like anyone who would pick Cindy Sheehan as a Vice President. As for SNL, that hasn't existed in any meaningful form since Kevin Nealon was doing Weekend Update. It didn't exist at all during the Obama administration because they were all too cowardly to mock him in any significant way. Trump partially resurrected it, but the "we hate Trump with the white hot passion of a billion suns" schtick got stale a year ago. Thank you, Ranger John... for your feckless opinion... And I don't think anybody of either Party persuasion should be equating anyone with an ape...

Obviously, you haven't watched much comedy... comedians have been mocking Presidents as far back as I can remember... but I'll have to admit... I'm not much on comedy... (my wife likes the late shows... I don't)... I prefer the more serious honesty... And as for "W" and "the chimp"... it wasn't presented as if he was a close ancestor of an ape... it was simply because the pictures... and I'm sure you've seen them... are eerily similar in expression... ("W" was never referred to as an ape... just looked like one)... and humorous... even "W' got a kick out of them... so did I... There is no 'comedy' any more. All we get is hatred of anything not Communist, not racist, not sexist, and not homophobic. The mantra of the Party of the KKK, who writes all the "material" for the alleged "comedians". You are incorrect. W was called "the Chimp" almost daily. He was compared to apes, goats, monkeys, or any other animal that could be used to degrade him. As for The Puppet, no one was allowed to make fun of him, he was the "first black President". Nothing else mattered. Not his crimes, not his treason, not his hatred of the US, nothing. "W" was only called "The Chimp" because of the humorous side-by-side pictures of him and a chimp that were so striking similar... (I bet you know what I mean)... ... there was never a reference that he was actually a direct ancestor of a chimp... and I've seen all kinds of pictures of both Obama's referred to as chimps , monkeys, and even 0.gorillas... I've even saw a video of a gorilla morphing into Obama... yeah, right... "nobody was allowed to make fun of him" for sure...

I'd hardly call Roseanne a liberal, RJ. Maybe years ago, but not today. I find it interesting that the failing president made no comment about her comments. Goes to prove (again) that he's OK with racism and white supremacy. As for Ms. Bee, her mistake was using a word that appeared on many a tee-shirt at a Trump rally during his run . . . a word that he never mentioned or implied any disagreement with. Since it appears that he's OK with the word, I'd guess you unthinking partisans should be too. Is not "ni***r OK with many MANY blacks calling each other the same word???
Tit for tat, goose and gander, one side has no more right to get upset over the other. One was a POOR joke, the other a personal insult.
Meanwhile.... lets talk about the Big Mooooch's wang mystery.

The same wannabe VIP's that think they should rule the world are hysterical about Barr, but ignored, or repeated the same accusations against Condoleeza Rice. It's just when one of their commissars is treated that way that they get in high dudgeon. Herman Cain was attacked by paid accusers until he dropped out of the race. Condi Rice was depicted as everything from an ape to a house ni**er, and no one bothered to even mention it. Blacks are not allowed to succeed if they are Pubs, they have to stay on the Party of the KKK's plantation, and work the fields. The Party hasn't moved from it's days supporting Jim Crow, the KKK, and segregation, they have simply changed tactics.

(and bloodline is extremely important to some folks...
