Crab dip. Go to Old Bay's website for the recipe. I add 16 oz of sour cream it.
Mars was selling a pound of lump for $17 last weekend. That's cheap for this time of the year.

Thanks but when I married I did promise to love, honor, cherish and cook every night. I am into easy but good. Spanakopita is EASY!! 1 bag frozen spinach 1 large onion, finely chopped 1 tsp. oregano 2 tbsp olive oil 8 oz. feta cheese, crumbled 2 large eggs, beaten 1 box frozen phyllo, thawed from day before 2 tbps. lemon juice 4-5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil in small bowl and a pastry brush Filling: Fry onion in 2 tbps olive oil until softened, stir in oregano, then spinach, add lemon juice, and cook until spinach is warm and soft. Put in a big mixing bowl, stir in feta cheese and eggs, mix well. Filling is done!! Then: On a counter, roll out phyllo sheets flat. Brush a large baking pan with the oil. Lay a sheet on it, brush with oil, fold it in half, brush again, in half, brush again, put a spoonful of filling in middle, fold over, brush again with oil, repeat! Now- even easier-- lay a sheet on pan, brush with oil, top with another sheet, oil, etc- until you have a 4-5 layers of sheets on bottom. Spread filling over it. Then top with another 4-5 sheets of oiled phyllo. I always brush top sheet with oil, and add a tiny bit of salt on top. Bake at 350 for about 30 min, until nicely browned. Tiny ones are easy to eat and serve. A big pan- just cut with pizza cutter into sizes you want! And serve with a little cake slice server to make it easier to seperate. The bottom won't get crispy- but is still sturdy and adds a nice flavor.

These are really tasty. We served them for an office baby shower and they're pretty easy to make if you can get the ingredients. I bought the ball of mozzarella pearls at Target of all places (my town is seriously lacking in gourmet grocery stores). Easy Mini Caprese Salad Appetizers What you need (you want your ingredients to be similar in size/scale) •A box of grape tomatoes •Fresh basil leaves •Balsamic vinaigrette •A package of mozzarella pearls (mozzarella in ball form) •tooth picks, for skewers Preparation 1.First, poke a toothpick through the bottom of a single basil leaf. Make sure not to poke it too close to the end to avoid ripping 2.Slide a single grape tomato down the skewer 3.Repeat with a mozzarella ball 4.Poke the toothpick through the top of the basil leaf, again make sure that it is not too close to the top to avoid a tear 5.Make as many of these as you desire for your occasion, and line them up on a tray. Once the appetizers are lined up, drizzle each row with the balsamic vinaigrette And serve! Try to keep the mozzarella chilled in the fridge until right before you make these to serve. Also, any vinaigrette works, so if you want to try a healthy option it is up to you! Cover them in wrap if you make ahead. The cheese will get hard if you don't.

Stuffed mushroom caps:
Fry up a roll of sausage meat until it's in smallish crispy bits. I use spicy sausage meat. Cut up and hand mix a packet of philly cream cheese. When you get the mixture even, spoon into muchroom caps. Cook for 5 mins in the oven @ 350 degrees.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Sadly the party has been cancelled due to the host (my brother) having a GI bleed. He will be fine. The ideas will not go to waste as there are several parties coming along.
