wow, left home in the 4th Qtr with us leading 17-3 and figured we had the easy win. WTF? I get to my brothers house for a BD party and learn we're in OT? I'm happy we won it but damn , end up in OT after such a lead. This needs to get fixed and now No radio in your vehicle?

Shouldn't wind condition be something they train for and be able to adapt to? I'm not an expert, just wondering. Well... First off, it's hard to get wind conditions to train in. The weather is what it is. It's not like they can take the team to a place where it's windy at scheduled times so they can practice. Second, unless the wind is exactly the same speed and from the same direction for the entire game, it's hard for a quarterback - or a kicker - to know exactly how much correction to put into the ball. Lastly, when you're in a bowl shaped structure like a stadium, the wind tends to swirl. Changing speed and direction can affect the swirl so far as how high off the ground the swirling will start. The NBC crew showed several times yesterday how the flags along the upper edge of the stadium were almost straight out, while the flags at the tops of the goal posts were moving, but not nearly as bad.

We were in the 16th row and there wasn't much wind down there, but I could see the flags sticking straight out, so up in the air where the ball was traveling, there was wind.
I was also surprised at how fast the ball fires through that goal post when a field goal is kicked. On TV the ball seems to travel slowly. But not live! It went firing through the posts at quite the speed!

Did you see Pees use Webb on the corner blitz? Webb didn't have a sack, you won't see any stats for the pressue he put on Dalton, but Webb was a big reason the defense was successful yesterday...... I did Webb had a terrific game, maybe he's finally back to form now.

We drew Walt Coleman, one of the worst crews in the league. And he didn't fail to disappoint. Bad calls are certainly a part of football. The Ravens have certainly seen their share of bad calls go against them this year, which is not to excuse their overall lackadaisical play.

The officiating was dreadful. Luckily I think it went both ways and really didn't impact the outcome. I'd have been livid had they overturned the Dickson catch, or the Ravens didn't stop the Bengals after that ridiculous non-fumble call where it was clear the ball came out of Green's hand before his elbow or knee touched the ground. Not to mention the extremely blatant non-calls for PI by PacMan Jones on Torrey Smith.

Immediately after the game, I indulged in some Jack Daniels. It was a well earned beverage.
Going to see the Ravens in Chicago this Sunday. Holla!

Ngata getting called for USC after he hit Ginger McNoodlearm was dubious, but I could see Coleman's side of it - quarterbacks are protected, and Ngata hit him a second after he was down. The dust up that resulted in Smith catching a USC that should have gone to Burfict was plain wrong. There was an overturned spot challenge that was blown AFTER the reply and another where Coleman ruled a fumble down by contact. Those are the ones I remember.

Late in the fourth quarter the camera crew caught Pac Man Jones mugging Torrey Smith, and the play Harbaugh challenged as to whether AC Green had made a catch.

In fairness, we as fanatics/otherwise known as fans tend to conveniently forget that bad calls almost invariably go both ways. We just tend to focus laser like on the ones that only affect our own tean. And bad officiating is way down on the list of things that have plagued the Ravens this year. Lousy O line play, an uneven Flacco, Ray Rice looking done, Pierce unable to stay healthy, lack of TE depth, a propensity to play only one half of a game, and a defense unable to come off the field (not yesterday) are what is killing this team.

I actually haven't had many problems with the officiating this year - before yesterday. I know that the Ron Coleman and Ron Winter crews can be counted on for bad officiating, though, and yesterday was more evidence of it.

My only point is that the Ravens have "earned" their subpar record at this stage, due largely to what was pointed out above.
