According the the LR media this morning, The Puppet and his Merry Marxists have coerced, cajoled, bribed, and threatened enough people to reach nearly 7 million. However, they can't tell anyone how many have paid, or even signed up for a policy, how many were previously uninsured, or how many signed up for Medicaid. That means they are lying about the whole thing. Again. I saw that report... but I didn't see the words "coerced, cajoled, bribed, or threatened" anywhere in it... I did see where it said it would be some time before all the numbers are in... it's a big program... can't expect it overnight... <input id="mac_address" value="" type="hidden"> Well you can, because it's possible using existing technology to get those numbers pretty much real-time (which I know because I've been in the field 25+ years and have actually done it), but since this is the Government we won't get those numbers until after they've been "massaged". It's kind of like the unemployment numbers which has been "massaged" for years (under both parties), and everyone knows it, yet they still keep putting them out there.

Although the IRS does not "make a profit", it merely is a collection department ( as is SSA). The primary federal "profit" generators are the selling of assets (oil, gas, timber, grazing, water rights, etc. Another vast category would be the selling of "rights" and priveleges and licenses. State governments do reasonably well with their gambling operations. Not so well with state run resorts, hotels or sports infrastructure.

Well to do most maybe. but fortunes not many, but Hollywood plastic surgeons often do I guess.
And so what, it takes a lot of money and time to be a doctor and then work long hours
If you can claim all doctors have made easy fortunes I can claim all union members are over paid loafers.
Most doctors I know are rather "well off" when compared to the public in general... and it takes a lot of time and $$$ to be a school teacher... and they work long hours as well... but then I didn't say anything about "fortunes" coming easy... <input id="mac_address" value="" type="hidden"> Not as much time nor money tho, plus a Doctor makes a mistake and your, dead not very correctable, a teacher makes a mistake and you might be dumber but correctable. Long hours? really! again not the same.

Bingo. Government needs to get out of the way of private enterprise and stay out of healthcare. You are not required to purchase from the government exchange... you can still buy from a private company... but the difference in cost may surprise you... have you checked?... <input id="mac_address" value="" type="hidden">

So, are you saying teachers don't go to college many years and work long hours to achieve their fortunes?... and I didn't mention teachers until after you had mentioned union members...

But both are much higher ($500+/-) in both cases compared to 8 months ago when I had an individual policy. So for me, medical costs are not decreasing. But I understand, this coverage is MUCH better and that there are winners and loser in all legislation.
