aww real sweeties..
Wife and I volunteer at a cat rescue shelter on a weekly basis, it's worth every paw hug and lick on the nose.
We just lost my cat Boots, he was 11, but have three other very loving kitties

Oh RC, I'm so sorry to hear about Boots... My sympathy to you. It's never easy to lose a fur child.

Nice Avatar mom. Congrats.
Sorry to hear about Boots, RC. I remember reading your posts about him in the past.

Yea Boots just got chronically ill, and went down hill fast. Thanks for the thoughts. He is back home with us where he belongs, in an urn.

I am just glad he took his last breath in my arms.

Sorry for your loss Champ. This thread really shows how far we have come as a society. There was a time when the only men that had cats were us Queer Folk. Its nice that those old stupid stereotypes have been left behind. Does anyone else on here like show tunes

Probably a lot of us have lost pets, but knowing that doesn't make it any easier on the one who's recently lost one. FWIW RC, we share your loss. One of these days our Reggie will be gone to catnip heaven (he's only 7), but when he does go, after the tears fall, we'll be left with lots of memories of good times with him, as I'm sure you'll remember your Boots that way. And Mom I hope we'll see more pics of the youngster as time progresses.

Mom - adorable, congrats on the new baby!! ? RC - so sorry for your loss. I thinks it's awesome that you and your wife volunteer at a shelter. I'd be afraid that I'd have a bunch of pets.

Good for those that can put in the time and work. I don't want anything inside my home that requires long term nurturing. Not knocking the pet owners, I just don't get enough enjoyment for all of the work and responsibility. They tie you down too much.

Same here, Shutout... I got 3 dogs and about half-a-dozen cats... all outside... where they're gonna stay...
Zip barks all night at anything that moves outside... sometimes he bards most all night... I think it's either the cows moving around... they coyotes yelping all night... or the neighbor's dogs barking... or all of the above...
Love that dog...

I was out a few weeks ago and stopped to grab some lunch and a beer in downtown Fredeick and the outside seating allowed dogs. No problem but I had to laugh. I can't imagine my mom allowing an animal in the kitchen or dining room. Times have changed.

Aw, sweet kitties. We took in two sibling kittens this summer. They're a lot of fun and a great addition to our cat family.
RC, sorry to hear about your kitty Boots. I remember there was a poster on the Sun board that wrote the neatest stories about your kitties.
