It is good. Only 70 proof and a little sweet on the end but a unique taste.

I had a 40 last night; it was good after a busy day at work.

Back in the late 70's-early 80's my Dad owned a bar in Canton. So naturally I was in there a Lot. I got to meet the Real "Alcoholics". Much as I tried I just couldn't keep up with them. There was a time I was out Bar-Hopping 4 or 5 nights a week. After a while you just get tired of it. So for the last say 15yrs or thereabouts, I only drink my 6 pack on Saturday nite. I don't drink the rest of the week at all anymore, just don't feel like it.

and he told me he likes to drink and I was thinking he had 2 or 3 beers a few nights per week. So I asked how many per day? and he told me he had 4 or 5 per night. He is muscular fellow about 6 foot and 190lbs but still , 4 to 5 is a lot no matter how big you are! I told him, wow, that is a lot! Since the rule for men is 2 per day max I guess he never heard of the rule? If I were him I would have said 2 or 3 per night even if it wasn't true! Oh heck I would feel bad admitiing I did it every night even if it was 1 I think. Do y'all agree that is a lot? I'm curious, who made this rule? Is it a rule or some guideline that some group that wants to control others behaviors made up? Okay some drink 1 to2 a day and others drink 5 or 6. Who is to say what's right? As long as this person isn't driving after that drinking that who am I to say he's wrong. Maybe he drinks a lot, compared to some others, but watches his diet otherwise (no McDonalds, watches the salt, watches the cholesterol, etc.), and doesn't smoke. Why do personal choices, that don't affect others, bother some people so much? Oh, and to answer the question in the OP, I don't think it's a lot. Whatever. I just started a thread for a discussion. I really don't care how much the dude or you drink per day. But some of you sure seem defensive about your drinking. The guideline is a dietary guideline for health of 2 drinks per day max for men 1 for women. But they say if you don't drink don't start. If you've never heard that you either live in a cave or are in denial about something.

Maybe he drinks that "lite" stuff... I think the “lite” has to do with calories, not alcohol content.

I hear the bartenders are easy on the eyes.Holy hound downtown York has about the same amount on tap. Pretty cool setup they put the walk-in ref. box right behind the taps for colder beer When I'm at the Stone Grille it's usually with a group, so I don't pay a lot of attention to the other servers. Some of them are more easy on the eyes than others. I like the ones at the Mud Hut better than SG or HH, but MH only has 6 taps. The nice thing about SG is easy parking. The absolute easiest on the eyes and friendliest used to work at Mexitaly on Market St. (in the same strip as Outback and Harbor Freight). But she was let go over a dispute with the management IMHO. I'll wager patronage will drop off because of that. I know I won't be going back there. I have heard of the great beer list at HolyHound. I have been to Beermongers in Dallastown. They have around 25 beers on tap.

I also don't think people are defensive about their drinking as much as they are defensive about how society is intruding more and more on their personal life. Not you or your question necessarily but how guide lines, "studies", and government recommendations want to control their private lives. Why do you think 4 or 5 beers a night is a lot? Is it personal experience or what you percieved from the news or media? For some 1 or 2 is a lot, for others 3 or 4 is a lot, for a few maybe more depending on circumstances. As with many things the "If you don't do it don't start" is a good idea. Smoking is always my example, I never did and see no need to start now, so I don't have a quit.

If you think about it even that guideline is too generalized (and probably sexist) . Why would the guideline differentiate like that? So a 5'4" tall 110 lb man can drink twice as much as a 6' tall 220 lb woman and suffer less effect? Why would that be?
That's why I have a problem with so many of the "studies" and "statistics" that are put out. They can be easily twisted to meet an agenda.

Probably the biggest myth involving statistics is that correlations (or links as they are often called) cannot prove causality. Correlations can act like the smoking gun, but correlations by themselves prove nothing. Folks (who are not statisticians) who think they know a lot about statistics, as well as those who know they know very little about statistics, should probably read Darrell Huff's book How to Lie with Statistics.
