I hope it's a shallow stream, EY... Small and shallow, yes. Sledding down that hill you'd be in more danger of going out like Sonny Bono than going into the drink. But it does drop at, I'd guess, a 60 degree angle (run longer than drop). One reason I didn't but a lot at that end of the neighborhood was that, while much of their land is wooded, a lot of it isn't too useful for anything *except* woods.

Temperatures going up next week. Could be in the 50s on Wednesday. Enjoy the snow while it lasts, snow fans, it won't be here for long at those temperatures.

It is time for Winter and snow to move on.... we'll be here when you come back next December!! While winter is at some other planet, let's move the solar system so it can't find us next year. Who's with me!

The local fishwrap says we got 11.5" where I am. Did not seem that deep to me, but I live within a few miles of where they measured it so it's probably close.
It's going fast in 45° F temperatures, though.

Snow is melting very quickly here. If these temperatures hold tomorrow it should be gone except for parking lot mounds. Those nasty things will persist awhile, covered with grit and auto emissions.

I agree EY.... yes, you read that right.... I agree.
My brain is in Spring Mode now.... I really want to get in my yard this weekend and do the winter clean up and prepare my beds for mulch and plantings.

Brine trucks are out dropping salt solutions on roads When I came back up I83 from MD last night (Wed.) I could see the ribbons of brine they put down on MD45 at MD439.

At 7:50 a.m. it's 32 F and snowing up here with about 1" accumulation so far, except for the roads and sidewalks, which are just wet. I believe it'll get a bit warmer as the day continues, so it'll be a non-event. However, the Harrisburg Area Community College in York wimped out and announced a delayed opening for 11 a.m. The other college (York College of PA) announced a normal opening and schedule.

Good amount coming down here. Main roads are just wet but side roads and sidewalks are slushy.
I saw a couple of accidents on my way to work, be careful out there!!

True confessions....I'm enjoying the snow. No one in the supermarket this morning, which was great, in and out in no time. Of course, there were the usual stupidos on the road with only a spot on their windshield cleared for the driver to see. Sorry, but it makes me want to help them out with a flame-thrower.

Or a giant snowball right on that cleared spot... It's still snowing and now the sidewalks are covered and some of the street. I thought it was supposed to warm up...
