Have you seen it? What did you think?
We saw it Sunday, it was excellent! Mr. Cz read the book and he was not disappointed with the movie at all. I was a little skeptical of Bradley Cooper but I thought he did a great job.

Having read the book, I'm eager to see the movie. For those who might be interested, here is some more info about Chris Kyle. R.I.P. Chris Kyle and Carlos Hathcock. Carlos Hathcock was Chris Kyle's hero. There ought to be a movie on Hathcock's exploits, too. BTW, Michael Moore and Seth Rogen can go to hell as far as I'm concerned...

I'm waiting to see it on the plane in February, helps to fill that 6 hour flight. The movie looks good from the previews.

Kyle seems to have fantasized a bit... check with Jesse Ventura... BTW, no, I haven't seen the movie... or read the book... not of particular interest to me... but don't have a problem with such military snipers... they serve a useful purpose... And while Moore and Rogen should have just kept their mouths shut, I believe they were taken out of context... they should have known that the right-wing wolves were out their just waiting... and salivating...

Michael "Attention" Moore hasn't been in the news enough recently, so... this. What a vile man he is.

Moore is a vocal kind of guy... maybe a moron... and you know with all this "Sniper" talks all around us every day and everywhere... he's gonna have some comment on it... and like I said, the right-wingers are just waiting... salivating... and Moore gave 'em what they wanted... it ain't about Michael Moore... let him rant... ignore him if you don't want to hear what he has to say... He's likely getting the last laugh at you guy's expense...

Moore is like Sharpton. They have to come out of their holes and spew garbage every so often to keep them in the news. If they didn't people would forget about their worthless asses.

Fortunately, Craig Harrison and Rob Furlong are still living, so it might take them some time before they can get together with Kyle and Hathcock.

Snipers are heroes, its always a good day when an enemy is killed. No guilt here ever.

I'm not sure a sniper is a hero just because he's a sniper... any more than wearing a military uniform makes one a hero... but that's how Patton said to make a hero out of your enemy... make him die on the field of battle...

Snipers are heroes, its always a good day when an enemy is killed. No guilt here ever. Heroes my arse! You guys use that word so casually and cheapen it every time you misuse it. All you can say about snipers is that they are (usually) paid killers, there is nothing 'heroic' in what they do, no matter who they 'snipe' for.

As they depict in the movie, if they are killing the enemy, protecting our soldiers I would consider them heroes. Chris Kyle had a lot of confirmed kills, I wonder how many lives he saved in doing so??

I agree, just because you are a soldier, or a cop, or whatever, you are not automatically a hero, that title should be earned.

All you can say about snipers is that they are (usually) paid killers, there is nothing 'heroic' in what they do, no matter who they 'snipe' for. They're trained soldiers, more trained than most, but that's what they are. If they save friendly lives they're heroes. By most accounts, that's what Kyle did.
