So far, this game is a perfect example of what is wrong with the Ravens offense. It all starts with coaching. Receivers who still do not know the plays, running wrong routes. Receivers who get their hands on the ball but cannot hang on to it in tight coverage. A line unable to open any holes and even when they do, backs slow to get there. That is all on coaching, not too mention the play calling, horrendous. They should be killing the Jets, instead, no touchdowns because of play calling-putting players ina position to succee....
Yes the Jets have a good defense, but plays are there to be made and the players are not making them. It is not just the execution, it is the coaching as well as the talent evaluators..... A complete overhaul in the off season is needed, top to bottom.

Wow-you're becoming a regular. The ravens can win this game-but only if you go and wear the lucky scrunchy. Hey, you remembered! Lucky scrunchy is ready to go! Lucky scrunchy did it again!

Really hard to take too much away from this game. The defense looked good, but that isn't too difficult against the Jets' (excuse the expression) offense. The secondary practically had the day off.
The Ravens did what they had to do (I think), but again, it's hard to tell where the Ravens' positives left off and the Jets' ineptitude took over. One thing that's still worrisome is the lack of a running game. I was hoping maybe after the Chicago game that things were beginning to pick up, but the Ravens again barely averaged two yards per attempt. And I still don't know what the hell happened on that Flacco interception. It's hard to believe that the Ravens actually have a play calling for two receivers to run into the same area, so someone obviously ran the wrong route, as another posted alluded to. Those are the types of mistakes that need to be eliminated by this point in the season.
I'm guessing that this Thursday will pose a much stiffer challenge since the Steelers look like they're getting themselves on track. Huge game for both teams.

It's always huge and ugly when them pesky Steelers invade our turf, going to be fun.

Geno Smith should not be a starting NFL quarterback at this time. Maybe at some point he will be, but right now he looks completely overmatched. He can't even run through his progressions properly; he essentially stares down one receiver the entire time. No wonder he's turned the ball over 21 times so far this season.

There were several, another was in the first series when Flacco went deep to Jones. Stokely was running a skinny post to the same side, there was only a few yards between them so it ws esy for either defender (it was man) to double one of the receivers once the ball was released. If you watch closely, you see it often with the Ravens, receivers close in proximity. Contrast that to any other team and the field looks so much bigger, receivers spread out well. It is one major reason there is very little yac. Smith is turning into a decent receiver, but for him to be a number one when he gets nocked off his routes easy, nocked down after making a catch as well, is not good. There are several very good receivers coming out this year, big bodied, hand catchers with quickness, the Ravens need to target one and get him no matter what. That trade for the tackle is going to hurt them, not being able to move up with that pick.....

watched post-game with Bass and Wally Williams, seems the general feeling is the Ravens have turned the corner and are on a good run. The steelers game will certainly tell the the tale on this.

Hey, you remembered! Lucky scrunchy is ready to go! Lucky scrunchy did it again! Yaay man! Lucky scrunchy does it again! Very cold indeed but I stayed through the whole game. My boy Jacoby Jones scored a TD! We were so close in the 5th row you could almost touch them. Very fun game. Toward the end of the 3rd quarter I was starting to feel the chill so I got up and walked around a bit in the stadium. When the game ended, fans cheered as Ed Reed left the field and ran into the tunnel. He waved at everyone and smiled. My face feels like I have a bit of wind burn. Definitely was windy, but I was dressed appropriately in many wool layers, a down ski jacket, my Goodwill-purchased Ugg boots, and felt fine. Fun time all around.

There was a loud group of young Jets fans sitting next to our group, and toward the end when they realized they'd be losing, they got up and left. The Ravens fans around them waved to them and said "Bye Bye!"

That trade for the tackle is going to hurt them, not being able to move up with that pick..... I thought Flacco could have been picked off at least two more times if the Jets defensive backs could catch. But as you said, unless cluster routes are the new thing in the NFL, someone was where they shouldn't have been. At times the Ravens look like one of those old college wishbone offenses trying to play catch-up through the air. I saw on a couple of occasions Ravens receivers running crossing patterns at least five yards short of the first down. I'm not sure whether the design is that bad or if, as we've said, someone was in the wrong place. It's late November; everyone should be on the same page at this point. Someone needs to teach these guys to run disciplined routes. And the Ravens receivers have a lot of trouble getting open vs. man-to-man, particularly in the red zone. I think that's one reason why Flacco can look great on one play, and absolutely infuriating on the next. He has to push his luck at times because he simply doesn't have playmakers. I also don't understand some of play calling. Trickery is fine if done at the right time, but you have to have a feel for it. Caldwell will call the same play multiple times until everyone in the building knows it's coming. Why flank Flacco out wide right after he's completed a 60-yarder to Torrey Smith? Flacco is a rhythm quarterback, so why take him out of the next play just when maybe he's got something going? If he can complete a 60-yarder into the wind, then it's certainly reasonable to think he can complete a shorter throw as well. The wildcat is fine for a change of pace, but not if you're going to make Tyrod Taylor a one-trick pony and certainly not in the red zone. The defense is in too close proximity to make it effective. But, a win nonetheless. A much bigger test comes Thursday when the Ravens have to face a real quarterback. If they can get past the Steelers, then the Ravens are very much a playoff contender, their shortcomings notwithstanding.

The Ravens should match up pretty good with the Steelers. The Ravens have some strengths in places that will cause them problems.

If they can get past the Steelers, then the Ravens are very much a playoff contender, their shortcomings notwithstanding. I am not sure what they see in Taylor. He may practice fast/quick, but he certainly doesn't play it. Even on the key run for a first down while he got to the corner and had a "nifty" move to pick up some more yards, that ws mostly because he is a quarterback and expected to run out of bounds. Nothing in his play suggests he can be a quarterback in this league, dispite what Harbs said after the game. Hopefully, they used him simply to give the Steelers something else to concentrate on in a short week, not that it would matter these two teams know each so well. Who knows, maybe Taylor had some escalators in his contract due to playing time, that the team wanted to pay him before they cut him at season's end.

What else did you expect them to say? It is a home town "show" the best analysis they have is saying the wind was blowing 20. They don't have the time to go into detail and frankly, the people who watch their post game shown are your average fan who know what a football is, but not much more so they would not understand nor be interested in in depth analysis.
