U.S. troops have been secretly fighting in Iraq for months... www.bloombergview.com/articles/2015-10-28/new-u-s-combat-mission-in-iraq-is-not-newWhen Defense Secretary Ashton Carter announced Tuesday that the U.S. would begin "direct action" against Islamic State targets in Syria and Iraq, it sounded like a new mission for U.S. forces in a country where the president has repeatedly insisted Americans would not be engaged in combat operations. But America's special operations forces have been engaging in these kinds of missions for several months, particularly in the Kurdish-controlled provinces in northern Iraq. And the special operations forces have already built up an extensive infrastructure to support these activities. This casts doubt on the official Pentagon statements that last week’s raid was “a unique circumstance.” Since President Barack Obama authorized the first special operations teams to deploy to Iraq in the summer of 2014, the White House has provided few details on the mission and composition of the forces. The Pentagon today refers to the mission for the 3,500 U.S. service members as primarily "advise and assist," with an emphasis on training local forces. But the small and highly classified military footprint in northern Iraq shows the U.S. is more involved in the fight against the Islamic State.

Alternating between failures and lies is not the sign of competence. No, but pursuing your goal and failing to reach it doesn't necessarily indicate incompetence either... It does when you fail to achieve that goal after multiple sources, that actually have a clue about what you are trying to do tell you not to do it. And when it's US soldier's lives you are playing stupid games with. It's obvious to everyone in the world except Democrats that The Puppet is not only an abject failure, but an obnoxious, pompous, brain dead imbecile.

Ronald Reagan was the worst in my lifetime... Only because he wasn't a Communist, and didn't grovel for the unions when they broke the law. Other than that, he was the one that allowed Waco Billy Boy to squander our economic successes and turn them into a recession, gut the military, and create massive new government scams to rob the productive and give to the leeches.

well the majority of America agreed At the time they did... that's because this monster made them feel good with his rosy speeches and charismatic appearances after OPEC had destroyed the U.S. economy... and the Iranian hostage fiasco... in which Reagan and Bush, unknowing to the American public, worked to keep the hostages in Iran until they won the election... little did they know that Reagan was laying the ground work that would harm the United States for decades to come... even till today... If you will remember, I had predicted this even before Reagan won the election... CP H,M AT...
