Halloween night is my second favorite night of the year. I would love a nice rain after ten p.m. when all the kiddies are done their trick or treat fun!
I always enjoy listening to Coast to Coast aka Ghost to Ghost on Halloween night!!

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the entire year. Everyone can dress up to be whoever they want. Everyone can return to their carefree childhood again. There is no baggage attached to Halloween. I love the spooky dark nights and giving out treats.

Our house is decorated with spider webs and ghouls draped with gauze and vintage plastic lighted pumpkins at every window. It really looks cool. I just love to exist for a few weeks in my ghoulish shabby cottage with spooky decorations hanging from whatever hook or nail I can find. Such fun. I have big electric lighted pumpkins in my shed that are on a timer and they go on at dusk and off at dawn just around the time the paper boy comes to drop the Washington Post. I really get into Halloween. A happy time with happy memories.

My favorite day of the year is November 1, which should explain how I feel about Halloween.

I know a lot of people get into it, and that's their thing, but to me, the only good thing about Halloween is that it comes just once a year. I'd personally prefer it be observed on Feb. 29.

Yeah.....it is kind of a pain to be jumping up every five minutes handing out candy.....wondering if I should put my beer down and tug up my sweats before I open the door to a passle of kids....dammit, it's after work-- I like to relax!!

I used to love when our little Scottie, Heather, was alive and the doorbell would ring. She would race over and sit quietly waiting for me to open the door. When I'd finally get there and open the door she would carefully look over the children, then turn to me, cock her head and look up at me as if to say "What is going on?!?". I never got tired of it, too funny! I do love Halloween and seeing the little ones all excited.

So many kids are scared to death and then the parents would be all upset and if you make a kid cry then parents will want to call the Police or the National Guard and the next thing you know your in jail for some crazy reason!! I know a bit extreme but seriously, it's part of the wussification of kids these days....
