Glad to hear you're doing okay!
They really insulted all that tissue when they did that replacement. It's going to be swollen for awhile, and that's going to restrict range of motion. PT is the best thing for that. But it will hurt, I'm afraid.

PT is painful but I have to work thru it. They say do a set of 10 and I do a set of 12-15. I do it 2x a day at home and when I go to PT so 1x home also. They say it could be swollen for up to a year

I was able to go all the way around on the bike today!!! Im 3 degrees from completely straightening the knee. My left knee can bend to 140 degrees, the right knee, the one thwt has had 4 surgeries now, I can now bend to 115 degrees. When I first started PT they said they didnt think I would get past 120 degrees bending. But now they are hopeful I can get close to 140

Well bad news. It appears as tho my body is rejecting the new knee replacement. I might have to have another surgery and have a different type of metal with the next replacement.

I have never heard of synthetic prosthetics being rejected. I'm sorry to hear that it can happen, and is happening to you.

Unfortunately, this is a common complication of surgery that involves bone, because bone is poorly perfused and because modern hospitals appear to be cesspools of hard to treat bacteria. They gave all their decision making power to accountants, and forgot Lister's lesson.
