This could signal the end of Ladarius Webb in Baltimore, particularly so if he refuses to accept another pay cut. It doesn't make sense for the Ravens to carry Webb's $9.5 million cap number into next season with Weddle in the fold. I'm sure they could find someone who could play safety at least as effectively as Webb and for a lower price.
The only concern about this signing is that Weddle is no spring chicken at age 31. He'll make an already old secondary that much older, and he has been trending downward the past few seasons. The Ravens' secondary is in such need, however, that they obviously felt the move was worth the risk.

I would guess they will give Webb a chance to prove himself - one more year - before they think about cutting him.
If they can draft an high quality edge rusher it would take some pressure off the secondary.
