Penn State has been attempting to get help with its settlement payments from its insurer. The insurer is pushing back, saying that Penn State had a duty to inform it of any incident that might increase its risk. Court documents reveal that Paterno ignored at least one complaint in 1976, and that incidents occurred as long ago as 1971. The insurance company alleges six different instances where it should have been told of Sandusky's conduct. ArticleI'd like to see Penn State strike Sandusky's and Paterno's names from its history, replacing them with something generic like "assistant coach" and "coach". Make it as if these men never existed as far as their careers are concerned. Their behavior is vile. And amazingly, Paterno's family is still trying to rehabilitate the monster's name. If he were my relative, I'd pretend I didn't know him.

If he were my relative, I'd pretend I didn't know him. Never happen. The jock sniffers of the Keystone State will never allow it. I have a friend of mine in PA that said 25+ years ago that he believed that Paterno had skeletons in the closet and would go down hard one day. F@$k 'em. Shut down 'the program" and use that money to pay the claims. Let the NFL run their own damn farm system instead of corrupting the education system.
