On the thousand watt daytimer radio station up here, some company is pushing a "colon cleaning" product they say will clean "pounds of rotting food and toxic sludge" from your colon.
Folks, the colon doesn't work like that. There are not "pounds of rotting food and toxic sludge" stuck in there. Except in the case of certain pathologies, the colon removes everything that the small bowel feeds it. The only think products like this will lighten is your wallet.

The low IQ AM radio listeners will believe anything. It was an FM radio station. But it was from the Susquehanna Valley of PA, so who knows?
