It's starting to look that way. According to Buck, who had it from Dave Wallace, Tillman did not have a good session today, and they are getting Dr. Curl in to look at it (she's an ortho, the Ravens team doctor). School of Roch

Gausman had a similar injury at the outset of the season, yet was back in a timely fashion. Hopefully Tillman only misses a couple of starts; the Orioles simply do not have the depth in the starting rotation to overcome his loss for an extended period of time.

Oof. Perhaps next year Bundy can be that first 20 game winner since whenever. Buck appears to have a deep disdain for small ball. Given the inconsistency of the power hitters, and the loss of their ace, I predict they will be watching the postseason.

Any more than 15 days plus Tillman coming back in form will probably torpedo the playoffs. Unless Ubaldo & Miley simultaneously do a 180.

The problem is said to be bursitis. Since Dr. Curl examined him, and the Ravens trust her with their players, that's probably what it is. That can be difficult to shake; I had it in my elbow (olecranon) years ago and it took awhile to go away. It was fairly painful, too.

According to the news, if his upcoming simulations reveal no further problems he will return on or about 9/11.

Tillman still has a small chance of winning 20 games. That is, if he stays healthy and loses or gets a no decision in no more than one of his remaining expected starts, he can do it.

I'm just more concerned with having a healthy Tillman back for the rest of the season than I am with 20 wins. Someone, however, is going to be the odd man out, and I'm guessing that either Gallardo or Miley will be relegated to bullpen duty if their next respective starts are uninspiring.
