Wow, first thread in this section! I'll get the ball rolling: What artists do you have on your iPod (or mp3 player)? Here are a few on mine, in no particular order:

My wife bought me an mp3 player a few years back. It was a Zune, which I think probably means "worthless piece of crap" in some other language. It took forever to add or change songs to it, like literally all night long. It stopped working after a while.

My first iPod was the 3rd generation Nano, with 8GB storage. It still works, though I don't use it much these days. I'm using my iPhone for music.

My old iPod finally died. It was a crushing loss.

I've got about 10,000 songs on mine, mostly albums by those artists who tend to be on the "classic rock" stations. My tastes run from "progressive" rock to British blues.

I am all over the place, classic rock, heavy metal, pop, 80s hair bands, a little country, soft rock, 80s pop, easy listening, some death metal, some R&B. I like a lot of different music.

Still don't have one, I came from the reel to reel world, and moved up to 8-Track, Cassette, and now CD's, and still on CD;s. I'm like you, except I never left reel to reel for those other forms until CD became a thing. I had an Aki deck, with Harmon Kardon amp and pre-amp and a lot of other stuff I picked up while overseas; the setup was smooth as silk. Even with dbx encoding and high quality metal tape, I don’t think cassettes ever measured up to it. It would be an insult to discuss 8-track on the same level. Were you like me, as soon as you got new vinyl you rushed home to record it while it was in as close to perfect condition as it would ever be? In a way, I’m sort of thankful about CDs. The care and feeding of vinyl was a real pain in the butt. Not to mention the endless turntable debates –turntableology 101, needle weight, belt drive vs direct drive, manual or laser guided, to stack or not to stack, etc. Back then I put a lot of time and effort into my music listening pleasure. Now I just mostly listen to stuff on my computer.
