The Ravens ought to win. If they lose, they might just repeat history and be the sole team that lost to a 1-15 franchise. Let's not forget that the Browns were up 20-0 at one point in their early contest. What will help the Ravens is that the Browns have a losing culture that's in their players, I believe. They find ways to lose. Of course, prior to last week, so did the Ravens.

Steve Smith Sr. probably put it best when asked if this Thursday's game was a potential "trap game" for the Ravens. I'm probably paraphrasing a bit, but his answer was along the lines of "Look at our record. I don't think we're in a position to consider any game a trap game."
The Browns are a team no one really wants to play right now. Not because they're good, but because no one wants to potentially be the first to lose to them. This is about as close to a "must-win" game as the Ravens have had all year. The AFC North is demonstrably weak right now, and given the rest of their schedule, the Ravens will be very hard-pressed to reach the likely nine wins needed to win the division should they lose on Thursday.

The defense has been good, except for the secondary, which has been inconsistent. Not to wish injury on anyone, but Shareece Wright going down and giving Tavon Young a chance to show what he can do has been good for the secondary. The front seven have done good work. The offense? Meh. Once again, took half the game off, and against better teams that's going to be a serious problem. We have to remember most guys take two full years to completely recover from an ACL/PCL rebuild, one year off and one year of substandard performance. But Joe's not looking very good. And what's with Perriman? Reaching from behind a guy to snag a pass for a TD, then a few plays layer he can't catch a pass thrown directly to him from ten yards away with no coverage. Odd.
