One things for sure, when they get there they will talk to the local populous very LOUDLY and S-L-O-W-L-Y in the hope that miraculously the other person will instantly learn the language.

Santa Claus was from Turkey. The real Saint Nicholas was the son of a Turkish nobleman. He tied up bundles of money and ran around the rooftops dropping the bundles down the chimney.

Not really. since St Nicholas lived in the 3rd century and they didn't paper money until the 17th century I don't think it mattered much

Not really. since St Nicholas lived in the 3rd century and they didn't paper money until the 17th century I don't think it mattered much Gold and silver melt at low temperatures. In addition, back then the fireplace was often a cooking area (the oven wasn't invented yet 1). So folks might have to get melted coins out of the ashes, or they might have coins in their food! Yum! 1 For personal use.
