LOL. Where's it going to record to? The little magic leprechauns in there? What part of being online do you have difficulty with? If it only held its recordings on the device itself there wouldn't be a problem in the first place. I can not believe that you can be this stupid. LMAO. Here's something you obviously don't know. It recognizes and responds to the wake word even when it's not connected to the Internet.

It doesn't start streaming to the Internet until the wake word is invoked. That can easily be verified by watching the wifi traffic originating from the device.

I don't, nor haven't denied that, that is what Amazon claim. However, Amazon control the device and could change that with a system update. However, consider this, you are streaming your favourite audio station (I often do), your mic's open for the duration of that stream, however long, unless you mute it which I always do.

You don't have to worry about this Weirdass Boinkerman. Your condition would never allow you to get a driver's license.

Have you been drinking this early? What exactly does an Alexa have to do with a Drivers License?

This is how it was explained to me! I'm not comfortable with this at all, can you imagine where this could go? I'll keep what little bit of privacy I have left. The microphone is always on (unless you mute it) and that is an established fact. In truth, it comes down to how much do you trust Amazon or Google to not listen to, or record what your device hears? I personally wouldn't trust either of them further than I can throw them. You cant trust them at all, Plus Im sure they would give up everything they had recorded the instant some government type asked pretty please.
