The annual transition of coaches to former coaches begins early with Kubiak's firing.

Eleven straight losses doesn't bode well for one's job security. One thing I didn't realize was the Kubiak was the fourth-longest tenured coach in the NFL. Only Bill Belichick, Marvin Lewis and Tom Coughlin have been with their respective teams for a longer period of time.

That's mean. I'm sure he was trying.

how long before Tomlin goes to? Do you think he will be fired soon? If so why? I think he will be back next year.

I think Tomlin's job is less secure than it was at the beginning of the season. But that's like saying a guy 80' from the cliff is less secure than a guy 100' from the cliff. Tomlin's not going anywhere, yet. Here's why:
1. They like a stable organization in Pittsburgh. 2. Tomlin has a long history of success to draw on; he's not a coach who has done nothing right. 3. He's a minority working for the family that has a minority hiring rule actually named after it.
Now, his offensive coordinator is a different discussion.

Pittsburgh's problem seems to lie in the fact that their team is old and that they perennially have little salary cap room. I don't think Tomlin has much to worry about.

If they need to make a change anywhere, it's General Manager. Their version of Ozzie, whoever that is (because I can't be arsed to go look).
