Mrs. para, sisters and friends will be doing the cookie thing on Monday. Chocolate chips Peanut butter Swedish hearts Fudge (chocolate and peanut butter) Sugar cookies and a lot of other stuff. I'm self-exiled from the house for the day until about 6 PM. Far too much estrogen in the house for me. Anybody want to meet somewhere for a drink?

I'd go, but my job already warned me once only the politicals get to drink on the job!

Bake some and donate them. You get the joy of making them, someone gets the joy of eating them and you have no leftovers.

Coffee glazed oatmeal cookies
cookies
1/2 cup softened butter 1/2 cup butter flavor crisco 1cup brown sugar 1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 3 cups old fashioned oats
cream butter & crisco with sugars add eggs & vanilla, blend add dry ingredients with oats last dough is ready for baking or can be chilled for baking later
roll into balls about 2 tbsps each. bake at 375 on an ungreased cookie sheet for about 10 mins. They will spread. remove from sheet immediately. place on wax paper. (I've used foil) cool & glaze

drink a diet soda after you eat cookies...no calories! sure......
it's hard to find some place to donate homemade baked goods...liability issues etc. sounds nuts to me...but that's how it is.
