When I was two, I had a storybook of 'Twas Night Before Christmas. My mother read it to me so many times that I'd memorized the words on each page, so I could turn the pages and repeat the words exactly. My mother told the neighborhood mothers that I could read and brought them in so I could prove it by "reading" that poem. So I did, page after page. All the other mothers were amazed.
It's a good thing they didn't ask me to read anything else!

No way it could not be Alistair Sim. But let's not forget the Muppets' Version either. It had its charms.
