Sounds awesome. We spend Christmas Eve with the in-laws so I try to do things I can get ready for Christmas dinner early the day before. No longer have small children around so Christmas am. is at a slower pace these days. My breakfast specialty is usually pancakes with a pineapple ring cooked in the center & either bacon or sausage. Easy & lazy. lol

Didn't really celebrate Christmas, but we had my dad over for a nice dinner! Made an herb-crusted slowly braised pot roast, oven-browned white potatoes in olive oil- they came out great, really crispy- high heat , 450, for few minutes, then 350 for an hour or so, and roasted asparagus. Nice sourdough bread and butter on side, little Spanish rose wine, and too full for desert!!

I fixed a large dinner on Christmas Eve. Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potaters, Vegetarian Lasagna, Green Bean Casserole, Homemade Bread plus dishes brought in including an awesome squash soup. I had never made a Vegetarian Lasagna before; I found a recipe and then made numerous modifications; it was so good I felt guilty.

If it's not the secret sauce that gets you it's the secret meat.
