And only 1 quality start so far. Hope that changes.

Is it too soon to start the U-bad-o jokes? I'm hoping what we're seeing from the starters has to do with the cold weather. But the hitters aren't doing much, either. The Reimold signing (he's on the 60 day DL now) still puzzles me. After a rough opening day start, Tillman turned in a real gem and I hope that's what we see more of.

Way too early in the season to get into the panic mode about our starting pitching IMO. Having said that though, Jimenez goes deep into the count too often and walks way too many batters for my taste. But then again, that was supposedly the knock on hm in Cleveland too.
Watching the Os and Yankees at the moment, and so far, so good for the Os.

bats were smoking today.
Such a shame Chen couldn't make it past the 5th. I'm very interested to see how Gonzalez does tomorrow. He finished poorly last year & had a forgettable 1st start.

Chen was clearly upset with himself in the dugout. Let's hope he can get back on track; so far, the season seems like an extension of his end of the year slump from '13. The relievers were a touch shaky but in the end they got the job done.

If the starting pitching continues to struggle, I think we'll see Kevin Gausman back in Baltimore sooner rather than later. This guy has the potential to be the No. 1 or No. 2 starter on a staff (other than Tillman) that is mostly comprised of third through fifth starters.

Gonzalez made it through 6. Somehow. But you could say the same thing for tanaka. I thought both of them were hit hard, but mostly right at someone. .500 on the road trip is good.
