hi, guys.
New computer. (Yeah, I was running XP-- still thought of it as my "new" computer, too.)
Whenever I try to open a link on this forum, I get a blank page. Links on other sites work fine. Links other sites work fine, at least the ones I've tried.
Windows 8.1. Any advice?
Also, why is there a half-moon key on my keyboard? Has Artemis gone geek? Will she show up and fix computer problems if I hit her key?

Thanks for the replies. This is the latest version of ie-- are we up to eleven or something, now? New computer (AND EFFING NEW KEYBOARD! grrr....) I'm still noodling around learning what's on it. (And there's the POP3 e-mail issue to deal with, too.) Experimenting with other browsers isn't on the agenda, for now. I haven't even installed WORD, yet- and now I discover I do NOT have tomorrow off work, as I believed yesterday. *sigh* Opening firefox on my OLD "new" computer probably won't help much. I was just wondering if someone knew a quick fix, since this is the only site that gives me blank pages from links... not that I've gone to many sites, yet. I'm sure I'll get this resolved... eventually. (Life in the Computer Age was sooooo much easier, back when the family geeks were still in high school with lots of time on their hands. Now that they're grown up with businesses to run or working for the DOD, I can no longer say "set me up." *sigh*)

Links are working today. I did NOTHING. The new tabs still remain blank for 3 or 4 seconds, but I can live with that. Maybe a new computer is like an infant-- it finds its hands fast, but it takes a while to find its feet? Apparently, mine has repaired itself... somehow. (Cue: Twilight Zone theme.)
