Not we. We aren't part of Iran. It's you guys and you're insane idea were gonna fix the Middle East . The only way this country will fix it is by burning all their oil. I'll bet the war on terror will stop immediately. The 'war' on terror is akin to the 'war' on drugs. It will not stop because the end goal of such a 'war' is the accretion of power into the hands of government at the expense of the liberties of the citizenry. Terror and drugs are merely the 'oh look! Scary,' that is the facade which is put into place to terrify the easily scared into surrendering their own rights and liberties as well as the rights and liberties of others. Yes. Couldn't of put it better. I like having eloquent friends...

Darn there goes the chance to repeat on the Nobel Peace Prize. Too bad the second one would have been worth something when/if ever he pulls it off. You give the Nobel Peace Prize committee FAR too much credit.

How did we end up in a world where the FRENCH are the voice of reason?

How did we end up in a world where the FRENCH are the voice of reason? Uh- they were right about the Iraq war and you guys were wrong. You're still holding a grudge? . The right had never forgiven them about the Iraq war, even tho the French were right.

How did we end up in a world where the FRENCH are the voice of reason? The French are really taking some surprisingly tough stances on Islam. Outlawing head scarves, stating France will remain French, f-you. To their credit, really, they never really ran- they just kept getting their butts kicked. Still not great- but it is a difference!

Oh, snap. We have "red lines" again.Any bets that it'll take a lot more for Iran to obliterate their red line than it did a certain Western president to rub his out? Ouch. Forward.

I don't think they're related. France rather quickly discovered that importing poor, uneducated labor to free the rest of her citizens to reap the benefits of a socialistic utopia wasn't a satisfying answer. Particularly since the newcomers were strongly inclined to install their views on society on their hosts, in quite violent ways. Sounds familiar, huh?

And quite the opposite seems to be occurring in Britain, where muslims seem to be getting preferencial treatment and protection. This, causing a major outrage among their native citizenry, I would not be surprised to see GB head into a period of major civil unrest.

You guys sound like the French did us a favor. I think they did. Shouldn't Iran bring something substantial to the table?

If you think there will be some grand final deal where Iran chucks its nuclear ambitions, that's not going to happen. France is feeling burnt from our leaving them at the altar so to speak when we abruptly decided Syria was no longer on. This is a thank you card for that.

The silly ass deal will not fly, don't bet on Iran to adhere on anything

You guys sound like the French did us a favor. They did the world a favor by refusing a treaty that reduces sanctions on a terror-sponsoring regime with nuclear ambitions without satisfactorily ending those nuclear ambitions.

Then there need be no deal where the sanctions are anything but tightened.

The French have always been a little xenophobic. And when it comes to Islam, for good reason. Charles Martel is a national hero for a reason.

Old as Rome inviting in the Goths...the Han make deals with the Mongols....the Egpytians bringing in the Hebrews...I'm sure Babylon had regrets over importation of cheap slaves from other city states as well.....

You guys sound like the French did us a favor. On the issue of Islam, I believe the French are on the best track of all nations. Though war with Iran would be a terrible thing--- it may be the only option. To allow them to create nuclear weapons will trigger a war no matter what- and it will be a war of nuclear armed states, esp if Pakistan weighs on for Sunnis. Israel already had nukes. Turkey is no friend to Syria or Iran- Turks are not Arabs or Persians, and were their rulers for a long, long time- and it is a NATO member. This can get real, real ugly real quick-- best to nip at bud.

I'm not expecting a deal that anyone will make stick. This is all pretty much going through the motions. Why should we end sanctions and get nothing for our problems? Oh, that's right. You're not fond of Israel, are you?
