He sure acted like a punk yesterday. Could be he was still simmering over that tag he didn't like, but he's got to learn to let that stuff go after the game it happens is over.

I'm willing to give Machado a mulligan this time around. He's still only 22, and kids in their 20s are still prone to do stupid things. Frustration combined with immaturity.
According to MLB network, there could be a suspension in the works. Might be the best thing to happen to him if that's true.

His apology, even if wiser heads on the team had to coerce it from him, helps a lot, this time. But he's going to have to keep his temper under control or he's going to have a career full of problems.
A lot of pro athletes need months, even after the rehab, to regain their full powers. It could be he's frustrated because he's not playing as well as he thinks he ought to (and several folks, including Joe Angel and Keith Mills, have commented about this, so I'll certain it's not my imagination.)

Do you think he has a 10 cent head? I don't know, yet. One data point only permits speculation, not a solid conclusion.

His actions were embarrassing to the Orioles. It really bothers me that he decided to punk up even more by fighting the suspension. Manny's young, but someone needs to get in his face and bring him back to earth. He's not Brooks yet by any stretch of the imagination.

Buck was asked whether he spoke to Machado before moving him to 7th in the order. He said, "no". Asked what Machado said, Buck replied, "He hasn't been doing this long enough to have an opinion." I like a manager who manages, rather than trying to cater to prima donna egos. One day, Manny may be great. He may eventually be a guy people speak of in the same conversation with Brooks. But that day is still in his future, if it ever happens, and he may need to be reminded of that.
