The man pitches well at Camden Yards, but never gets any run support. His ERA is much worse on the road, but here the O's have scored something like five runs in his last four starts. It's dismaying.
Hunter is frustrating. He just hands out runs like they're a promotion. Whatever he had last year hasn't shown up so far this year.

It looks to me like Hunter is still hurt. He needs to go back on the DL (wink, wink).

Jimenez is also bad, but he's got ~$45MM more coming to him, so they are going to give him a lot of chances to fix his problems. Hunter's got ~$1.5MM left to collect. They might write that off if they have someone better they can bring up. Hunter can't help them win, period. A guy like that has to go.

The Orioles aren't simply going to get rid of Hunter without getting something back. Even with his struggles, there are always teams on the lookout for a guy who can throw 96 mph. Sometimes a change of scenery, a different pitching coach, etc. can make a difference. Hunter wouldn't fetch much in a trade at this point, but someone would probably be willing to give up something to get him should he be made available.
Decent outing by Tillman today, but what was a little disconcerting was the zero strikeouts. At some point, a pitcher has to be able to miss a few bats. Tillman didn't have command of his curve for much of this afternoon, which has been the case in a number of his starts this year.

Put him on the DL with a "blister" or a "strained" whatever and let him tear up AA and AAA hitters in a rehab assignment. I don't think we've yet reached a point in the season where the Orioles can't afford to let him see if he can regain some of his old form.
