sourceEither it is a bad law but the progs don't want to go there or it is an expensive boondoggle. Why the either/or? Can't it be both?

One more thing. One of the reactionary ideas being floated around is Medicaid for all. How does this effect the 3 in 10 doctors that won't accept Medicaid patients? Is choice going to once again be replaced with force? If they won't accept Medicaid in such a situation they will have three choices: try to build a practice that accepts cash, presumably catering to the wealthy. Leave the profession. Or recant on their assertion. I suspect this would result in two tiers of medical care: the best doctors would form a tier of providers to the wealthy, who can afford them, and everyone else gets the rest of the doctors. Supposedly when this was explained to Hillary back when she wanted socialized medicine her response was that she'd make accepting cash illegal. Despite what's printed on the money. That would amount to slavery or a doctor shortage. Pick one.

When someone worth voting for comes along, I'll vote for them. Voting for people who aren't worth your vote, because they're not the other guy, is why we get the deplorable assortment of reprobates we've seen the last several years. I won't buy in. Well then, be prepared to welcome Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton to the White House in 2016. Because the left side of the aisle will go out and vote against the Republican.

Jackass-R or Jackass-D still gets you a jackass. I've sworn it off. Some people say I could vote for a third party as a protest vote? And accomplish what? I'm much happier going to the pub and laughing at it all. Right now, voting is a waste of time.

The only solution I see for people keeping their plans that have gone way up is have the government subsidize the difference. IF your paying 500 per month and it goes up to $900.00 then you should be cut a check for $400.00 to keep your insurance.Like healthcare welfare for the middle class. And then who pays for that??? It's a mess!! Without total repeal, I suspect continual half-assed "fixes" from both parties to address media-endorsed issues as they arise. Which will create further unintentional consequences as they impact the complexities of all the new regs, as well as general market forces.

Better that than being the pivot man. No seriously, think about it. Do you (or semi) REALLY believe Romney would be as bad as Obama has been?

No seriously, think about it. Do you (or semi) REALLY believe Romney would be as bad as Obama has been? It is impossible to answer that question. It's hard to imagine a worse president than Obama... but I felt that about George W. Bush when he left office. I figured the next guy couldn't possibly be worse than Bush. And then Obama was. I'm fairly sure whoever gets elected in '16 will be worse than Obama, as that seems to be the trend.

Frankly, anyone who'd been paying attention would have. You've got a guy who's sum total of executive experience was president of the Choom Gang. He was a dedicated left-wing radical from a liberation theology church, hanging out with washed up 60s era domestic terrorists. I understand the reluctance to vote McCain after 8 years of Bush. Never mind McCain's own problems, and the great job Obama did obscuring his own past. But 4 years on? With Obama's mask slipping? Romney was obviously the better choice. Even with the attempt at gotcha politics and the whole 47% fiasco.

People died in Iraq. Lots of them. Nuff said Yes, they did. Bush invaded that country for reasons that are still unclear. That cost a lot of lives. Obama also started a few equally inexplicable military actions - helping al Qaeda (albeit indirectly) in both Libya and Syria come to mind - but he did not cost as many American troops their lives as Bush did, without real justification.

Yeah I was furious at Obama escalating the presence in the ME. I hope one day we willl look back and wonder what the heck we were trying to accomplish there. Similar to Vietnam. He has been disappointing. I was actually hoping for war trials for Bush and Cheney.
