Thanks for all the input here... albeit small... I enjoyed scoping out some of the "little" towns mentioned other than the one's I mentioned... and hope to visit some of them one of these days if I'm ever near... I do love to travel... and there's not a better place than right here in the good ole U.S.A...

I do understand that and truly appreciate your earlier comments... and there's no doubt that I might understand it even more if I visited a few places of which I have seen pictures... that appear to be places I'd enjoy visiting... but the planet is SO BIG, Baldeagle... and I have so little time left...

Actually, once once has flown around a large part of it, it is remarkable how relatively small the planet really is.

I feel the same way about the USA, Baldeagle... and I've flown and driven all over... not many nooks and cranny's I haven't been in... from a motorboat in the middle of the Okefenokee Swamp in South Georgia... an air boat surrounded by alligators in the Florida Everglades... to the dry river bed of the Toutle River near Mt. St Helens... or the Mt. Baker wilderness... kinda hard to imagine it being better than all that... but likely, you're right... it could...
Thanks again for your input...

I'm finished for now, Husagafella... until I think of something else of interest to me... You may want to count 'em...

There are a lot of towns in Massachusetts that I love. Salem (I think I mentioned that before), Hyannis Port, Plymouth, Nantucket (I know it's an island), New Bedford, Sandwich... I spent a lot of summer vacations there.

Unfortunately, most of my travel has been outside of the U.S.

Cowboyz, it is hard to beat The 'Dena for a good time. The place has its own charm.

Very true shutout. There are so many things about the Dena that I love. It definitely has some charm and lots of fun. Great sense of community on the peninsula!!
