woohoo! Magic number is 21 w/ 28 games left. If the Os stumble home at 12-16, the Yanks will still have to finish 20-8 to catch them. fuhgeddaboudit.

I wonder if the recent acquisitions will be all be on the roster by Aug. 31 or will they simply be September callus? If it's the former, then several guys would have to be DFA'd. Lombardozzi would be one candidate, I'd imagine, as would David Lough, who's been a real disappointment. Dan Duquette was on during the broadcast tonight and he wasn't exactly slopping over in his praise of Lough.

I thought I read that in order to be eligible for post season, they have to be rostered prior to 9/1 expansion.

10 game lead in the division. Biggest lead since 1979.
I didn't like the way that story ended though.

This would be a good time to start pretending Joe Saunders doesn't exist. I think the only thing he'll be doing this October is getting his lawn ready for winter.

Saunders can no longer pitch at this level, that much is apparent. He is done.
O's should have this wrapped up by middle of next week I think.
