Bernie Sanders Open To 2016 Presidential Run Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) wants to make sure that there is a strong progressive voice in the 2016 presidential field, and he's willing to jump in if no one else does. ....Sanders said that there needs to be a 2016 candidate who will go after Wall Street, focus on poverty and the collapse of the middle class, address global warming and oppose cuts to Social Security and Medicare -- all issues that Sanders has taken on while in the Senate." www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/18/bernie-sanders-2016_n_4295872.html?utm_hp_ref=politicsExcuse me-but didn't barry promise all of that?

More power to him. I wish we did have more than two candidates to choose from. I'll bet the Dems won't be pleased, though. Sanders would siphon their votes, like Perot did Republican votes.

He identifies himself as a democratic socialist. That alone will probably keep him in the half percent 'also ran' range. He is one of those people who likes to centralize wealth and power in Washington and then is completely dismayed with the results. You'd think he would have figured it out by now.

Wasn't Hitler a "Democratic Socialist?"

Yeah, but Sanders wants to focus on the collapse of the middle class in order to make sure it never comes back.

He only pretends to be dismayed. All socialists think the fact that they've centralized their wealth and power that's to the benefit of society, because they're better than everyone else. It's the same whether you're talking about the Communist princelings in China or Al Gore.

It's the same whether you're talking about the Communist princelings in China or Al Gore. It's the fallacy, "We're better than the greedy rich folks that work, earn, or inherit money. We'll take it all and make sure everyone gets a piece" Though we all know the sizes of the piece will vary, and the size of the pies that will be divided steadily shrink....and you better not dislike the pie, either....total control of economics means total control of politics....
