I miss my country WASHINGTON - Starting next year, people living in the nation's capital who don't have legal permission to reside in the United States will be able to get driver's licenses. Democratic Mayor Vincent Gray signed a bill on Monday that would allow the District of Columbia's Department of Motor Vehicles to issue licenses to people who can't prove their immigration status. It would take effect May 1 unless Congress intervenes, which isn't considered likely. www.myfoxdc.com/story/23995750/dc-mayor-to-sign-immigrant-drivers-license-bill#axzz2l2Cv7E8F

Weren't all drivers licenses supposed to be vetted by the Feds as part of the "War on Terrorism"? I wonder how that plan dovetails with this one. And by wonder, I mean chuckle and shake my head in bemused disbelief.

I strongly question the wisdom of giving illegals driving privileges, much less than giving them a form of ID that makes it harder to determine their status. But I'm not sure what law has been "broken."

If someone is here illegally, they deserve NO USA rights at all, none.

And that is the crux of the situation. If they have DL's, they can register to vote, because "they have the ID you have been screaming for". The Dems are relying on the illegal vote, again, to win in 14 and 16. If they get amnesty, they think they will be in power forever, because they can just import as many illegals as they need to win whatever election they are running.
