As some folks may know, Henry Thoreau is one of my favorite nature writers, saunterers, philosophers, and grower of beans. I often refer to this particular blog, a daily complilation of his voluminous journal entries throughout the years. I found this specific entry to be quite humorous. BB...ya know...his are some of the most peaceful writings i have ever read...soothing to the soul.

BB...ya know...his are some of the most peaceful writings i have ever read...soothing to the soul. Much agreed. If you ever get the chance, I would recommend a visit to Walden Pond. I felt grateful for the opportunity to walk around its banks and swim in its waters. In many ways, the environmental movement in this country can trace its origins to that place, and by extension Thoreau's writings.
